    Thinking of hiring a car in vegas has anybody got any ideas where to rent from , or is it cheaper to book your car in uk before we fly thanks

    You should be able to rent(hire) one at the airport offsite facility for a very reasonable amount, I usually can get one for under $20 a day(plus taxes), reserve one in advance either directly with the agencies, or through a consolidator(orbitz, etc). i dont know what the insurance situation is with you, but that could be a fair amount extra($15-20 a day), in the US most credit cards provide coverage.

    I'd book with expedia before you leave, they always have been good to me!
