We just returned from a week-long trip, including three nights at Suncoast, which was our 14th or 15th consecutive stay there! The strange thing is that we've never won anything at Suncoast worthy of writing home about. We often win at the other six Boyd/Coast Vegas properties (and did this time at the Orleans and MSS), but not at Suncoast. We play mostly BJ along with a little VP. The results are embarrassing, frustrating, and certainly unprofitable.

We love the rooms, friendly staff, and overall atmosphere, but this is really getting silly. When we related this to one of our favorite cocktail waitresses, she remarked that she's heard the same thing from others who said they had to quit going there for that very reason. I'd like to think it's nothing but coincidence, but … what could it be? We're planning December's trip and have a free weekend there, but are starting to wonder if going back might be a bad idea.

I feel your pain. Suncoast was a short drive from our house and we really liked everything about the place, but we never hit a jackpot there of any kind.

It got to the point that we would sooner drive to MSS than stop at Suncoast.

Now I'm talking VP and we all know the only way to change the odds is to change the paytables and they had decent paytables. We just never hit anything. In ~two years, you'd think we would do something. Nada!

I've found the total opposite. In two trips I've hit two royals at suncoast (on 5 play DDB) and I was also dealt aces w kicker on a three play TDB machine.

Best luck i've ever had has been at suncoast. And my two biggest losing trips have been at Sam's town.

Slots on the other hand, I get destroyed at all Boyd properties. I've dropped more money at Suncoast than anywhere though when it comes to slots.

I have never hit anything of significance at Suncoast, usually make a point of going up there for a 4-6 hour session if I have a car. I mostly play VP, with a little $1 slot action thrown in. I dont exactly get murdered, but always have come out the door a loser. Still like the place though, and have a monthly offer of rooms and small F&B, although I have never taken them up on the offer and stayed there.

I've never played at Suncoast. Saw it when I went to the REI one trip but didn't go inside.

The Orleans bleeds me dry every time. Gold Coast is hit or miss.

Sams Town is like my lucky charm!

Downtown, the Cal has been pretty good to me. I can never get anything going at the Fremont and I tend to just drink beer at MSS.
