As my title states I can't figure out where to stay. We were comped 5 out of 6 nights last May at PH and loved it. This year we are going in June and the only comps we have are for Harrah's, Rio and Flamingo. :-( I guess we didn't gamble enough for another PH comp. We are comped M-T and with resort fees and taxes and the 2 other nights, Harrah's is roughly $350 for all 6 nights but I've been reading reviews and Harrah's doesn't sound as nice as PH. Don't get me wrong, PH is not luxury by any means but I loved the tub and the large shower! lol Linq prices are not much more than Harrah's, Rio or Flamingo but I'm not sure how it compares? We aren't wanting to pay any more than $500 total no matter where we stay since we can stay at the above mentioned properties for less but I'm not sure which to choose..............

Rio rooms are bigger but off from the strip... I've stayed there on a comp for 2 nights once.. it was ok but off strip if you don't mind that. Clean but needs a remodel. Some of the rooms have been remodeled, but doubtful they comp the Samba Rooms. Pool is pretty good. A few years ago we stayed at the Flamingo which is showing it's age, especially in the elevator and hallways... but the Flamingo has a good pool and I have only stayed in a Go Room and a Go Suite. If you can get a Go Room or a Go Suite, which is basically a larger room (not really a suite), I would do that.

PH is usually my standard hotel there if I'm not at P/V. I've stayed at Harrah's but not in a base room. I think the rooms there are comparable to PH but the environment is definitely no where near PH if you like the liviness. Harrah's is an older hotel/casino; it seems alot smokier to me but it's also got a great location to it.

I will check on Go Room or Suites and compare the prices.

BCMike- we really enjoyed our stay at PH and loved how large the bathrooms were. Harrah's looks a lot older to me. Does anyone have opinions on the Linq?

Looking at the conditions of the mentioned properties and the vibe in the casino I would go for the Linq. The place is completely renovated by the time you're going, the location is perfect and the Linq promenade with the Brooklyn Bowl is a lot of fun. If it's within your budget Linq wins hands down from Flamingo and Harrah's. Since Rio is off strip it wouldn't even be something I would consider when my other opions are located on the strip.

Yeah, I'm leaning more towards Linq. We weren't offered any comps there for that week but it's only a little bit more than what we would be paying at the other 3 properties. I play MyVegas on FB but a lot of the properties are not offering a discount the week we are going and I just really don't want to spend more than necessary on a hotel room but I don't really want to stay in a Motel 6 either. Thanks.

I haven't seen any rooms at the Linq but the casino is great. Is the pool important to you? Flamingo and Rio have the best pools.

I think you may be looking too early for June comps, get closer to the date and see. That said, don't hesitate to book a refundable deal right now in case something doesnt come up for you.

The pool isn't important to us so that is not a factor with our decision but it is good to know that Rio and Flamingo have the best pools. :)

I may be but I just checked and it looks like I booked our May 2014 trip in November of 2013 and had 4 comped nights at PH. I currently have Harrah's booked but I am having second (and third) thoughts about staying there even though it's a great location. I will continue to check the TR website in hopes that PH will throw me a bone and offer some comps. Some of the Mlife properties look great but I just can't see paying a lot for a room when CET is offering us a free (mostly) room.

Harrah's isn't all that bad if you're in a "Luxury" or "Deluxe" room. They are clean, basic rooms. I can't vouch for the new "High Roller" rooms. The location is hard to beat and there are some decent food options within and adjacent to the property. We have stayed there the last few years and haven't had any issues. That's my way of saying I wouldn't outright exclude the property if you have a comp offer.

Thanks. I can get a "classic" or a "high roller deluxe" comped. Luxury and premium are showing sold out for my dates. Right now I have the high roller deluxe booked and I may just stick with it if no other comps come by way.
