This month's LVA had this quote:

"Cash your paycheck at the CANNERY and get $5 in free-play for an amount of $100-$499, $15 for $500-$999, $25 for $1,000-$1,499, $50 for $1,500-2,999, and $75 for 3,000 or more."

Has anyone done this deal? I want to do it when I'm in town later this week, but I called the cage and the lady had little idea what I was talking about. Some would say, "well then it must not be happening" but anyone who has played a lot at different properties knows that marketing/gaming departments are often terrible at informing the average cashier, players club and dealer on the basic terms of different promos.

    Anyone got an intel? Thanks!

Not sure about this particular offer, but many times casino paycheck promotions are limited to locals / Nevada residents. I would call to confirm they will cash an out-of-state check, especially if you were counting on said check for your gambling funds, to ensure you're not without cash AND free-play.

Casinos typically offer this type of promo to encourage local customers to play at their casino each Friday / every other Friday and blow some/all of their paycheck on a regular basis. The El Cortez IRS Check promo is open to everyone, as an IRS refund is only applicable once a year.
