Can "casino rate" rooms be extended to others in my party?

Suppose I want to go to Las Vegas with a couple that I'm friends with. Our plan is to stay at a property where I have playing history and would qualify for either a comp or casino rate room. For them, they're first-timers - and would not qualify for much of anything as a result. To their benefit, would I be able to procure a casino rate room for them to offset the expense of the trip? This would all be booked under my name, and might take place in an arrangement where either my room is a comp and theirs is a casino rate, or both are booked at casino rate.

Is such an arrangement as this viable? Or are they basically their own deal as far as the casino is concerned?

Sure, that's not a problem. The casino may have a limit as to how many rooms you can get at a discount rate though.

    Ya, no problem doing that.

Just be sure to have at least one of your friends put his name on the account at check-in. That way if the room key doesn't work, they can go to the desk for a new one. Otherwise, they could be stranded if you are off doing something else.

I did it the last trip to Las Vegas. Staying at Caesars I emailed my host and asked for two addl. rooms at the "casino rate".

Note that the rooms were still charged the resort fees, even though my room was totally comped and I paid for the rooms with RCs.

Doesn't CET have a 'friends and family' rate?? I thought they did a couple of years ago when I booked our comp rooms and booked them a cheaper 'friends and family' rate elsewhere (because that hotel is/was cheaper)

CET does have friends and family. I've called the 800# and made reservations for friends and the price was better than the online rate. I also had my host do it this year for a trip with friends in May. The one thing about CET, last year when they had their spring sale, I was able to make reservations for one of my friends at s cheaper rate than I had gotten for the friends and family price.
