Was at Golden Nugget yesterday afternoon and evening. Mrs. and Daughter also.
Went out on the Deck which was packed and looked across the water at Revel and Showboat. Sad, 6000 people out of work thru no fault of their own.

Agreed. Big casino projects coming to NY and Mass will slice the pie even further. Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun are already hurting. AC is in a depression no doubt. MD and PA are successful though.

Many times when staying in Philadelphia I would make the trek to Atlantic City. Never won there so I stopped going. Last year I stopped in at Harrahs Chester. Hated the place. Maybe next time I'm on that side of the city I'll head to AC to see what's left!

A few places like Borgata are doing pretty well,I dont see them hurting. I honestly think if someone buys Showboat and spends a few bucks on the rooms and brings in a couple of "name" restaurants like Landrys did at GN,the place would do well..
Revel was doomed from day one,I dont think the take from Borgata would be enough to pay the debt and huge operating costs to keep Revel going.
I dont understand why CET is building a convention center at Harrahs right now,but thats why they get the big bucks to come up with these ideas right?
