    Hi all,

    I am new here

Hubby surprised me with a 5 night trip to Vegas and Celine Dion tickets for my 50th birthday!!

We are booked in the Octavious Tower. Would like to try the $20 trick but would like to know what to ask for in advance.

Is there a certain view or floor I should ask for? We will be going Sun-Fri.

    Thanks in advance!

Your tower is the newest, and some say the best.

I like Augustus a bit better since it is less walk to the casino.

Other than a fountain view, nothing extra to ask for. You got a great deal.

you shouldn't need to use the $20 trick, but I would suggest that you ask for a room on a high floor that faces the pool. if you're too low in either Augustus or Octavius, you can hear some street noise. Octavius doesn't have a good angle toward the Bellagio fountains, so I think the pool view is better (and you will still see plenty of the Strip if you're up high).

What i would do is get the Augustus Tower with a Fountain view:

The Octavius Tower sit further back from the Strip, so if you want a better view of the Fountain, Augustus. But it's a win win either way. I'll be at the Palace in August.

    Thanks for the replies!

I have been researching like a mad woman. I have no idea what to expect. Have only been to Foxwoods in Ct.

Hoping to be able to find lounge chairs in the shade near the pool and hoping the pool has some middle age woman like myself LOL

Have some dinner reservations and want to check out the buffet.

I have 4 kids and I damn deserve this vacation!!

PS- Hubby will have to suffer at the Celine show with a smile if he knows whats good for him
