    Deluxe = Palace Tower

    Premium = Augustus or Octavius

    Premium is better.

    Nevyn is right...........but don't pay for the Premium. They will bump you every time to an Augustus or Octavius if you request it. ((and they aren't sold out)) Also a Palace tower suit is awesome.

    When you book a room at CP they give you the opportunity to request various upgrades that you might be interested for an upgrade fee. If they are available when you check in you get what you previously requested. For example an upgrade to the Octavius Tower Laurel is $21 plus tax per night and the Augustus Tower is $34 plus tax per night. In your opinion are you better off making those requests in advance or waiting until you check in and ask if something is available then. Is the cost to upgrade the same at check in as it was in advance $21, $34 etc.? Which is the wiser way to go to get an upgrade?

    We've now had an Augustus room twice by the luck of the draw at check-in. The one was CLEARLY the nicest hotel room I've ever had!

    One thing that appears to be changing, that "secret" valet on the south side is now apparently Seven Stars only, and even though we did have a guy with a diamond card with us, I was unable to sweet talk or bribe the guy (who was a jerk!) into letting us park there and this was on a week night!

    I think the Augustus tower rooms rival the "base" rooms at Venetian/Palazzo.

    That's why I'm glad that I finally made 7* so now I can park closer to my room. :wave:

    Is anyone good on their Ceasars history? I stayed there for one night in 1993 passing through on a road trip. I was young and naïve, but I remember at the time it was the nicest hotel room I'd ever stayed in, anywhere. I certainly didn't ask for anything special that I can recall. The one thing that always seems to stick in my memory is that there were steps leading up to the bed.

    Am I engaging in revisionist history, or did such a room exist at Ceasars in 1993?

    We just got back from our stay at Caesars last week. We prefer the Octavius Tower rooms over the Augusta because they are newer. Both rooms are very nice and are both comparable. The Octavius is a little farther walking distance, but that really doesn't bother us. Here are a few pictures of the room. IMG_1245.jpg IMG_1246.jpg IMG_1248.jpg IMG_1249.jpg

    Augustus tower is definitely my preference. I have found the walk to Octavious is not worth it compared to Augustus.

    Can't you just take that short-cut that runs by the buffet?

    Stayed in Octavius the other week and found that the walk, although it is longer, is not THAT bad. Once you reach the Augustus elevators, you're a straight shot away from the Octavius elevators. And there is an additional hallway that leads directly to Bacchanal buffet near the Octavius elevators.

    We just got back and stayed in the Octavius which I requested. I was given the choice of Augustus or Octavius. The room was gorgeous and exactly the same as the pictures the previous poster posted. I was concerned about noise having stayed our first night at Paris and was directly over the nightclub pounding music until 4am. The man told me to be sure I got quiet, he suggested Octavius over Augustus because the Drai nightclub at Cromwell could cause some noise.
