There is a south entrance right along Flamingo that a taxi can drop you off at. It serves Augustus and Octavius.

You want to use the Flamingo St. Entrance.
I was there a few weeks ago and I was able to get lounge chairs without a problem - not sure when it starts getting hot out. You have a good tower for pool access.

You'll be behind the Augustus tower and that tower is closer to the strip. Your walk should be about the same as the Ballagio.

The separate check in for Augustus/Octavius is very convenient, particularly since the main check in is usually a zoo. I really like the rooms in the Octavius tower, but the only drawback was its distance from the Strip (first world problems hahahaha). I definitely prefer the location of the Augustus Tower.

Midweek day bed is 250. The gf says concierge books them. She'll find out how to get a discount if possible.
