We are staying at Caesar's in three weeks and I have a question about check-in. I am a platinum Total Rewards member with VIP access because of being a TR credit card holder and have gained that status. Where do I go to check in? I'd love to bypass the long lines at the regular check-in. Hopefully someone has experienced this and can give me a head's up. TIA!

I'm not sure what you mean by VIP access. There is a different line for Platinum guests at the main check in. There is a separate room for Diamond and 7 Star guests in the Agustus tower.

Did you get your VIP card yet? Once you get the VIP card, you can access the Diamond checkin.

So, as a Diamond card carrier checking in at Caesars for the 1st time do we get dropped off at main entrance? Cabbing it from the airport.

If you're traveling when the Diamond check-in is open, the August entrance on Flamingo would be a shorter walk. I believe that cabs can drop off there, but valet is only for Seven Star.

New Orleans 7* retreat. Food, food, and more food . . . .
    Tentatively Tahoe or LV . . . .

Related question- I rcvd letter in mail confirming VIP status with instructions to redeem at CP TR counter, which I will do prior to moving from Mirage next weekend. My question, for anyone that HAS already gotten the VIP card, is it essentially Diamond level perks across the board, or more of a "promotional" pseudo vip status that really means nothing in the eyes of CET properties? Be very nice to bypass check-in, cab, and restaurant lines when needed, but is that essentially all that is gained with the VIP card? CC literature and even letter i got in mail is very vague.

Since I've never been Diamond, I'm not sure what all the perks are.

I have read that VIP status does not give you ALL Diamond privileges. You can cut lines and use Diamond check in. I don't believe there is access to Diamond Lounges. I'm sure the TR Desk can confirm for you.

Is the VIP card the same as the Founder's card?

Did they just send a letter saying your VIP?

Other threads talking about the Founders card indicated that they also receive full Diamond status....?No resort fees, Diamond Lounge access etc.
VIP access from the TR card only gets Diamond check in and the ability to cut lines. There was no mention of Diamond lounge and no resort fees.

Thanks Newman- was wondering if I had scored a way around the dreaded and ridiculous resort fees. Didn't think could be THAT easy! :)

I received my confirmation of the VIP status in a letter and will have to go to the TR rewards booth right when we arrive to get my card. From there, I will proceed to the check-in line. Thanks for all of the replies. I knew I wasn't the only one wondering about this.

I just came back from Vegas yesterday from Caesars. I too am a platinum status player and when I first came in to register, there was several long lines in the regular registration. I looked to the right and seen a designated line for platinum players and that line had only two in front of me. My wait was only about 5 min. When I first went into the Platinum line, I checked where the last person was in the regular line. When I was finished registering, I looked for the gentleman I was behind and he was still waiting with about 10 - 12 people ahead of him. Platinum was well worth it...

Now the Platinum status may or may not have influenced the clerk at checkin when I was attempting to get an upgrade from the Forum towers. I asked if there were any Palace tower Premium rooms available, she looked but said no but she asked if I was interested in the Laural Collecton rooms in the Augustus or Octavius towers. I said my preference would be the ones in the Augustus over the ones in the Octavius because they were a little larger in sq feet and also those rooms were closer to the casino and the strip entrance. I offered her the $20 tip but she refused it and said it was complimentary for Platinum players if the rooms were available. (I don't know if that was true at all times but I didn't complain LOL)

Throughout the week when I encountered a line (in any CET hotel), I always looked for the Platinum line and undoubtedly I was served ahead if not way ahead of the others waiting I line. Examples were at the various cashiers when I needed to cash out my chips, buffet lines at both Spice Market and Paris, and the real timesaver for us was the ability to early pay at the Bachannal buffet. Other than those examples, we were treated just like the others.

At checkout yesterday, I asked if my resort fee charges could be reduced from my TR rewards points. She said yes and said all the $162 RF charges had been taken care of. Now I'm not sure exactly what happened at that transaction because as of today my RC are still the same as when I stopped playing yesterday. Maybe those points take longer to be credited when applied to Resort Fee charges. One thing that may have affected the above was the fact I acquired Diamond tier status this trip but I don't know for sure.

As to the VIP status, I was never offered that status.

    Good luck!

Thanks Sam in Ut! I'm really looking forward to our trip. This is our first stay at Caesar's and am looking forward to hopefully getting a complementary upgrade. Congrats on making it to Diamond! Diamond players get their resort fees waved.
