Where will you typically get the best deal when renting a cabana on the strip hotels? We'd prefer a CET property. I like the pool at flamingo, except that it's PACKED by mid-morning. We were also thinking of PH.

Do I have to being staying at the hotel to rent a cabana there? We're staying at Caesars because we got a really good deal, but I bet a cabana there will be a little out of our budget.

How many bottles of liquor and mixes do you get? Any snacks? We have 4 people in our group, so a decent amount of liquor is important

We've done Monte Carlo's cabanas and had a great time there while staying at another property and while staying there. Prices will be on the next posting.

Here's the email they sent to us for last year's gathering when we were at another property. Wife and her gf's loved the lazy river.

    Good Afternoon,

Thank you for contacting the Concierge.

I have attached the information and pricing for our 2013 pool season, which runs from March 7th until October 15th. The options are based on availability. We do not offer any half or part day rentals.

Our poolside reserved areas are guaranteed by agreeing to a food and beverage minimum based on the type of cabana or day bed you choose. We charge the first $200 of your food and beverage minimum onto a credit card at the time of booking as a way to guarantee and hold your reservation. Your deposit goes directly to the amount of food and beverage you receive. There are no additional rental fees required.

You will have up to 24 hours prior to the date of the reservation to cancel without penalty and receive a full refund. You will be required to pay the difference of the minimum above your $200 deposit plus tax and service fees and anything you order above that minimum.

Please contact us at your convenience to advise to which poolside accommodation would best suit your needs. You may contact us via phone at 702-730-7010 to provide:

    • A credit card to secure the booking (a $200 deposit is charged to secure the reservation)

    • Mobile contact number

    • Number of guests

The Concierge is available 7 days a week from 8:00am PST to 10:00pm PST and may assist with dinners, shows, tours, spa, golf tee times or any other special arrangements to enhance your stay.

I can't speak for CET properties, but I have gotten cabanas at MGM properties and Wynn and they both worked the same. You either had to stay at the hotel or (in the case of MGM) if you were at a sister property, you had to go through your host. My experience is weekends during the summer, which is the busiest time of year. On those weekends, the prices were higher and you really needed to go through a host. Otherwise, you are placed on some sort of waiting list and if bigger players didn't already step in and grab all the cabanas, you are given one.

Best thing to do is either line it up with a host in advance. If you don't have one, use the concierge.

As for cost, the last summer I got one at MGM in the middle of the summer and I can't recall exactly but it was either $800 or $1000 in food and beverage. I also got a smaller one at the Wynn that was less (it was weekend after labor day, so I suspect the rate was less because pool season was winding down). Hope that info helps

Thank you for the info!! The pool at Monte Carlo is really nice - and those prices aren't too bad. I really like that they just do a F&B min, rather than JUST bottle service. I'd much rather have my choice of cocktails and food, instead of being stuck with one bottle
