I am thinking of going to the Pinball Hall of Fame next Monday. Long story short, this would only work in my plans if I could easily get a cab back to the Strip. Anyone had any experience with this? Any tips on getting a cab out to the PHOF to pick you up promptly?

    Thanks!

P.S. I am aware of the bus routes, but I am looking for a cab.

I am normally a taxi type myself and I would definitely cab it there, but for going back to The Strip I think I would just take the bus:
Though I have never been to the Pinball Hall of Fame I have had to go off strip a few times in past trips to Las Vegas and since there isn't any taxi waiting spots nearby (IE: a casino, a big shopping center) the wait for a taxi could be 30-45 minutes or longer - not sure if its the cab companies or the drivers themselves but they just don't seem to put any priority in to going off strip.

If you do want to go with a taxi what I would do is: call your first choice in cab companies 5-10 minutes before you are leaving and when you get outside give it about 5 minutes and if no taxi shows up then phone two different cab companies.

Or if you tip well what you can do is take a taxi there and give the driver his tip and then ask about getting back to The Strip the driver might give you his cell number and then when you are done you can call them directly and they'll make a better effort to get there quicker.
[Note that by tip well I mean the amount not the percentage, IE: $2 on a $10 fare is a 20% tip and that is a good percentage, but $2 isn't going to get a cabbie to pull out of line at one of the big resorts to come pick you up]

I took cab to PBHF. I asked him for company business card for ride back. I only waited about 5-8 minutes for the cab.

I ended up changing my plans to make the bus fit in to plans.

Got longhauled to the Pinball HoF. I hate cabs.
