I've gone between downtown and Sam's Town many times, but never by cab. (This was before Uber, which I have yet to try.) Sorry I don't have an answer for you, but are you aware that there's a free shuttle (actually, a full size motor coach) between Sam's and downtown?

Of course, you have to plan around their departure and arrival times, but it's hard to beat free. The bus is very punctual, so don't be even a second late. And yes, you can bring luggage.

Second the shuttle. Full size show time bus. Leaves Fremont hotel and then goes to Cal, then about 15 minute ride to Samstown. Can also take one from Sams to Harrahs. Scedules available online or at desks of Cal, MSS, Fremont. Never saw driver ask for room key or what hotel you stayed.

Turtleman and eaglejohn just saved you about $30+gambling bucks! The shuttle is the way to go. Look on the Cal, Fremont or ST website for the schedule. Enjoy!
