My brother has a 6:30 AM flight out of LAS. I checked the WAX schedule and the first bus doesn't leave until 5.20 AM from Casino Center & Fremont and wouldn't get to McCarren until 5:45 AM. Even at that time, that is cutting it too close.

He is staying at MSS. Besides a cab, what are his bus options and where would he catch it near MSS? Pre-purchased tickets required, etc. He is thrifty, so cab is probably the last resort.

Except for the WAX, I know nothing about the bus system.

    Thanks for any help!

You could check the 108 and 109 schedules, but he would have likely to get on at the bonneville station(6 blocks south of downtown).

I just checked my 2012 copy of the bus schedules and the 108 stops on Casino Way Drive but not until 4:55 and is anything but direct. I took an early flight onmy last trip and though I could have taken the WAX's first trip, the one thing I don't want to gamble on is the the bus or shuttle will not be late or become disabled or stuck in traffic. I don't want save $20 and miss my flight! While I don't mind getting up early for an early flight to LV which will get me there from NH in the am, my return flight consumes most of the day so I like to sleep late, get a good breakfast, pack and get to the airport 2 hours ahead of my departure.

I opted for a cab ad told him to get me to the airport via Paradise. The cost was about $25 plus tip. Once at the airport, it didn't take long to go through security. Worst part is breakfast; I hate to pay Porterhouse prices for a egg sandwich. If my flight was later, I would have taken the bus or a shuttle but with limited options in the wee early morning hours, I figure a taxi ride to the airport as part of the cost of the airfare.

You can access the RTC schedules online by googling.

My usual trip consists of WAX to Downtown when I arrive, but like him, I leave out on the early flight. I considered walking to Bonneville center, but even as a guy, I felt it was a little iffy that early in the morning (before 5 am). That walk is a little shady. I just called a shuttle the day before and for the 9 or so dollars, I felt it was the best option. They were there right when they said they would be and I got to the airport in plenty of time. (They usually give you a big cushion on the pick-up time to make sure you will get there on plenty early for your flight.)
