Maybe he was trying to escape the heat and smoke.

    1. No discussions may occur at a buffet! His Lord shalt address thee when needed.
    2. The presentation must be of the steam tray variety (preferably cafeteria food pans, stained, with bent corners)
    3. Decorative garnish and small plates needn't apply in the nether regions of the buffet world.
    4. All buffets are created equal. The Wicked Spoon and Bacchanal Buffets are groaning boards, meant for peasants and serfs.
Ken, Once again, fine dining is a wonderful experience. For a lot of folks out there however, a Vegas buffet, presentation and experience is the highlight of their culinary life. Despite your rebuttal, these comments are elitist.

Why is that scene in Monty Python's "The Meaning of Life" running through my head? I'm sure at least one of you knows the scene I'm referring to with the "zaftig" (as Ken described himself earlier) diner who over-indulged.

3 or 4 years ago at M buffet. We arrived at around 6 p.m. and chatting with the waiter he told us that they just kicked out a couple of guys. They came in at lunchtime and just did not leave.

As you know: M has bottomless beer.

TThey must have been good friends catching up after many years with a lot to talk about. I enjoy the feedlot experience as much as the next guy but I would be bored out of my mind.

Or maybe they were simply alcoholics.

Actually on second thought, I think they may have been curious to see how long they could sit there before being asked to leave.

This is an interesting thread. I guess if a waiter asked me to leave an "all-you-can-eat" buffet, I'd take great notice. I hope I don't ever find myself in that situation waddle waddle.

Rivers Casino in Chicago has printed on the buffet receipt "we reserve the right to limit seating times to 90 minutes"...
