I have begun to notice a few buffet comps have little key icons in the left hand corners. Does that mean i need to be staying at that hotel to redeem that certain comp?

No, you just need to be staying at MGM property at the time that you redeem the reward. Depending on the property, you would need to either use it that day or within 24 hours. Freeplay is the only reward you would need to be staying at the specific property.

If a buffet comp does not have a key icon, can purchase 2 of them and use them at the same time? We're going next month thankfully!

Look under the Purchase & Usage Limitations after clicking the next button when viewing the reward. Just about all of the MGM Resort rewards will say limit 1 per MyVegas player.

But, if you purchase one lunch and one dinner buffet, that would be allowed since they are 2 separate rewards.

Each person with a MyVegas account can redeem three rewards per 30 days and of those three they can't be the same one. If you click on the prize then click again you will see the terms of service on the page that you fill out your name and email address to actually redeem the reward. I believe all of the MGM state limited to 1 prize per 1 person.

It's new to me. I have not used any rewards in over two years now.
