    My Trip Report

last min trip planned with a $170 budget and everything worked great.

Went with my girlfriend (she has her own budget)

Stayed at hooters and royal resort. First time staying at Hooters and 4th at Royal Resort.

    Hotels
    Hooters
check in 4/7 check out 4/8 i gotta say was great !. The cheapest room was actually nice and better than other bargain rooms. I was surprised at how small hooters was (no pun intended). I liked the smaller size VERY easy to get around and find your way. I remember my first stay at Circus Circus was a pain to get around... we had to walk from check all the way through adventure dome and pass the back slots to get to our room (we eventually found the back exit and rear parking lot that was a shorter trip). Its too bad that Hooters isn't doing that well its a great little casino with a great location. You got the Trop, MGM, NYNY, and Excalibur surrounding it. I would highly recommend it.

    Royal Resort FACE LIFT!!!
check in 4/8 check out 4/10 Ever since i got my little connection on the inside to this place ive always stayed here every and any weekend that i know i will be going to LV. Im happy to say that the owners Trading Places have decided to give the place a nice little facelift. They have put in a modern bar with music and free pool table right in the lobby ... AWESOME. They also have a guy that plays piano in the afternoon which is also in the lobby. Unfortunately i didn't get a chance to see it but i hear he plays great. Last time i was at RR it was always sad and a bit of a dead zone ... nice to see people actually hanging out at the lobby playing pool and having drinks at the bar. A++ move. Rooms are great. The studio rooms come with and extra bed the folds down from the dresser in case you have 3 or more people staying. They also provide free stuff in the bathroom, his and her Razors, body lotion, gum, and other brand named stuff. Mini fridge, flat screen TV with HBO. Hotel also provides a small gym with free water.

    Eats
took my handy B1G1 coupons for Haagen Dazs, Nathans, NY Pretzel.
Planet Hollywood, Chicken Now, Mcdonalds, Hooters chicken wings. Osheas Pizza

    Gambling
    $1, $2 blackjack & Slots

    Weather
all days were on the cold side but fair.

    Day 1 4/7
took off from Los Angeles at Noon, traffic was light. Got to Vegas around 4:30 actually thought about checking out M but i was just anxious to check out the hooters room so i decided against it. Hooters check in was smooth and i was surprised at the small size of the casino, which was a plus to us since we didn't have to hunt for our room. Stayed in the room for a bit to rest and went out around 8pm.

8pm Walked to Excalibur and took in some slots. Down $10 and a few coors lights later i notice my girlfriend laughing historically. I then realized shes buzzed for the 1st time HAHA she drank 2 stiff pina coladas. I forgot to tell her that drinking alcohol fast is not the way to go lol.

9pm After her giggles stop we head toward NYNY. No gambling here just some finger food NY pretzels w/pepperoni using our B1G1 coupons.
Headed To the MGM and asked to have a $10 turned into quarter for late night Horse races at that classic quarter machine come out ontop with 14 bucks lol. Hit the slots again and down another $10

12am We decided to head back to hooters to check out the action. I end up opting out of any more gambling so i tag along with my gf while she plays slots and i have a few more Coors lights. NOTE Hooters serves Coors Classic ... the only place i know that has it. I then notice a sign that says .25 cent wings from midnight - 6am W/players card and $1.50 beer or fountain drink. we sign up and buy wings with my $4 winnings haha go up to the room and call it a night around 2am

    Day 2
11am wake up get ready to check out of the Hooters room. As i go to hand the card keys i slip in $1 at the slots and win $5... Cash out and off to the royal resort. I walk in and im surprised at how a bar and pool table can make the RR alot better. Head over to the outlets for lunch. Believe it or not Chicken Now is the best tasting chicken in Vegas. Its a plate of 4 big chicken tenders more white meat that fried with a bunch of fries, they're not greedy with the fries. After lunch we go to the Boulevard Mall and i find nothing so we go back to RR get ready to go out. We decide to go to downtown which is our favorite but this time around the cocktail girls were not paying any attention to us so we actually take off 2 hours later. We end up parking at Bills and walk over to the Flamingo another favorite of ours. Slots start to pay out with $2 i bet max and im up $15 cash out than put in another 2 bucks at a star wars machine and bet max now im up another $34 cash out and i go back to the original machine put in $5 and up another $25. Total winnings $74 i start to get hunger so i go to the Burger Joint and ask about the $2 burger and fries IT HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED its now 8.99 with fountain drink... owell i end up letting my girlfriend play while i sit back and order drinks. We walk across to caesers and i order a coors light. My girlfriend asks what drinks they make and i hear Long Island so i change my order. This was the first time i try Long Island Ice teas and i enjoyed the taste so i stick to that for the rest of the night. My girlfriend cashes out shes up $10 lol we call it a night around 5am stop by Mcdonalds and buy some $1 sausage and cheese mcmuffins and go to the hotel.

    Day 3
wake up around 2pm and we go to the premium outlets. Again i find nothing so we end up going back to the hotel to change and go out for our last night.

7pm We go out early and decide to park at bills again. We walk towards ballys to use our nathans coupons. I order a burger and get the fries free my girlfriend gets chilli cheese fries and gets a lemonade free. We also use a Haggen Dauz coupon.

We walk out of ballys and head over to paris to see the new Sugar something shop... nothing special just more overpriced stuff that you can get cheaper at target lol. Finally we decide to go back to the flamingo and play slots ... i decide to not play so i just hang out and order drinks. Girlfriend finishes up and we head back to the hotel.

    Day 4
11am we wake up and get our stuff ready to check out. I whip out my blackberry and i notice traffic is horrible. We end up staying in vegas longer that expected so we go to the Luxor for another round of nathans. I end up asking if i can use the B1G1 coupon on combos and they say yes. I order a chicken sandwich with fries and we get the chicken tenders with fries for free.... alot of food for $10 bucks !!!!!!!.

1pm we go to the MGM to see the Lions and then walk over to the M&M store to see the 3D movie they have. My girlfriends like collecting those flattened pennies with something embosed on them. we start to head back to the MGM i check traffic and its still bad so we go to the flamingo for some last min slots. Girlfriend plays and is up $20 she cashes out and we decide to leave FINALLY !

all in all another GREAT trip. I will definitely take more coupons next time. Thats one hell of a deal.

    LOVE VEGAS !!!!

I hate to hear that the Flamingo has canceled the $2 burgers and fries; my brother and I decided last trip that would be our must do on every trip we take going forward. I guess we should have know better not to pick something that the price could change on.

Oh well, we will have to find something else to replace it.

    Nice trip report.

    Thanks.

Nice report, I enjoyed seeing you get the value out of four days and a smaller budget. Sounds like it was a lot of fun.

Loved your report. I love inexpensive trips. I, too, use coupons when we go there. Mine are already ready (separated), but still attached to the book. I'll remove them completely in front of the workers.

I like how your TR started with the reviews and then broken down your evenings. Thanks for sharing!

it was alot of fun. I was worried because i usually take more cash but 170 was JUST right ... considering i never pay for booze just tipping the girls gets me enough booze. Majority of the cash was probably food ... gambling 2nd
