Boyd properties and resort fees

    The Boyd casinos downtown are not planning on resort fee(s) at this time. This was bought to my attention by someone with Boyd and they said hopefully it will stay that way.

    That's good news... cause I can only imagine the outcry here if they succumb to the resort fee "madness"... It'll be TOTAL hysteria on VMB!!!

    Don't care if they start charging resort fees, as long as room rates (with fees included) are low I don't have a problem. Lately I've been staying at the EC, their rates are usually lower.

    Not sure why everyone doesn't just raise their room rates instead of this fee already, just another "tax" on the guests so just include the darn thing in the room rate IMHO.

    btw, other boyd properties (orleans) charge a resort fee.

    I still think that the LVC could make a go with the budget conscious customers but because they are the same company as the plaza management and corporate isn't the best. :Þ
