Which of these two casino chains is better in your opinion and why?
Boyd! I love Santa Fe casino bars, but I'm an overall (everything)Orleans fan. Hotel wise, Orleans rooms kick ass over Santa Fe. But we all have a different opinion. I really like them both.
I think it all depends on what you want. Many good points for both chains. Boyd has hotels downtown, that is a big plus for me.
If looking for future comps (as said in other post) Boyds would be the choice. Stations are terrible for future comps
And btw, I did book at the Orleans (Boyd), by the pictures, it reminds me a lot of my old home Casino Showboat in AC, so hopefully we'll have some fun there
I have been to both Orleans and Showboat, and you are right, the vibe is quite similar. Orleans is larger, and has a few more amenities, like bowling, a liquor store, and a handful of both fast food and sit-down restaurants. They have a lot of rooms, and are fairly liberal with future comps, so if you are looking for future room comps, it's a great place to play.
