I can't find the thread this was mentioned in a few days ago, but the slot manager got back to me. All downtown Boyd bar machines are $1 in = 1 point.

There are some FP VP machines on the floors that require more than a dollar in, to earn a point and they supposedly have little signs pointing that out.

The point is if you are playing at any bar in MSS, Cal or Fremont your getting a point for $1.

Yeah, Joe ... I've always been annoyed by those full-pay slant-tops at the south end of the MSS casino, with those little stickers, $3 coin-in = 1 tier point. Especially, when you can find some of those very same full-pay games elsewhere around the MSS casino, which are all $1 = 1 tier point.

Boyd casino players should also know that if you are Sapphire, then $1 = 2 comp points, and Emerald players receive 3 comp points for $1 coin-in.

This will be my first trip to make notes on my phone as to my beginning totals and my ending totals for sessions to determine my daily $'s in. I am on the middle tier and it is supposed to be 2x points for the $. When I hit play it only rolls over a credit at a time until the 4th where you get two points (each hand a 1.25....the .25's gain a point each 4th play). I am sure I am getting my proper multiplier of points but just have never actually documented it. Anyone else.

I keep track every trip and haven't found them to be wrong yet. My coin-in x3 always equals my slot points unless we buy a meal for others using points or my wife heads to the gift shop. Then it is all hopeless to keep track.:drunk: But, on trips we don't use points, it always adds up.

Fairly confident in their system. I've been tracking it since they switched to the B Connected card. There was a learning curve in the beginning, but except for the above examples, it always adds up.

You might be confusing "tier points" with "comp points". The points you are seeing roll over one point at a time are the tier points. The 2X points for being Sapphire are your comp points. When you insert your Boyd card into your machine, it will first greet you, then show you your Tier score, followed by your Comp score. You should keep track of them separately ... and you will eventually see that after you play a session, pull your card, wait a few minutes, and then re-insert it to see your "new" numbers. If your tier score went up by 250, then your comp score should have gone up by 500.

Oh, and you forgot to mention when you get drunk and forget to put your card in at the MSS Bar and play for a couple of hours you get NO points. You get NO scratch off card... Jose will call you a "Dumb Ass" and Kelly will give you the "Stink Eye"!

So be careful out there kids!

The sad part of that story is you had to play for several hours before getting a 4oak.

I have typically reached/come close to reaching Sapphire card status by the end of a trip, but it usually goes away before my next visit (one year + between Boyd visits).

I stayed last November/December and have 20K in tier points. and will hit Sapphire status early within in the trip and secure the double points the rest of the way. (Orleans and Cals Stays book ending my 5 night stay at Caesars and short Four Queens stay)

I'm sticking with Boar's Head bar or Cal machines in the alcove near the craps tabes for my $1 1 point comp points while downtown, and I hope to spend several hours playing 9/6 STP JOB 5 line at Gold Coast (with some play at Orleans and one or two trips to Suncoast and/or Sam's Town).

In August, you can earn 7Xs points at SunCoast on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 5 Xs points at Sam's Town on Wednesdays and Sundays. I also have a 5Xs points ACG coupon for Suncoast and just found a $10 free play coupon for Orleans on BConnected.

Are the offstrip Boyd locations also a dollar a point for VP? I have played at Gold Coast so infrequently to not pay that close of attention, but hope to play there more next month as I am a 9/6 JoB STP addict. I know that Sam's Town Tunica gives a point for every 50c of coin-in.

Thanks for all the input to clarify as it has never been offered by the b-connected booth. I will keep track of both the levels and see how they change and especially the 7x promotion. Seldom use the points for purchase but will do so when a friend is with us and has no comps but can pay at 600 per $ rather than cash.....thanks again.

Just wanted to point out one more thing...
At Suncoast for sure and iirc Orleans also, you can download points directly into your machine.

The rates are same as cashing out points at the Player's Club, but you don't have to leave your chair or drink:drunk:. 100,000 points = $100. I confess I've done it a couple of times when we lived there, but I'm not proud of being a degenerate gambler who should have quit when he lost his daily bankroll. But, they sure make it easy at those two places. You can't do this at DT Boyd...yet:poke:
