I'm staying at Sam's Town, and am considering going to the Pasta Pirate at The California for dinner. If I pay for the meal with my Bconnected points, will this trigger a gambling day and affect my future offers? I don't plan to play there at all today. I tried searching for this answer, but couldn't find anything Boyd specific.

Yep ... any type activity with your player's card will trigger that day as a trip.

A possibility is to see if they can charge your downtown dinner check to your room at Sam's and then pay it off at Sam's with your points. (I would call and ask before to see if they can do this). I never tried this here but in some casinos they work well with charging meals to other hotels in the same company

BTW, as far as the other reply here saying any activity will cause a trip, according to another thread on this board, a slot manager in one of the Boyd downtown hotels has assured someone that asked that if you are playing downtown at Boyd and you then play at a second downtown Boyd casino, that it does NOT trigger a second trip. That is not your situation here, but I thought it was important to remind people that playing at another casino does not ALWAYS count as another trip.
