How does Boyd calculate their ADT, or is that even the system they use? From my limited play with them so far, they are kinda more similar to the mlife system, where play at casinos seem to get offers at those casinos and not the others, whereas the CET system generates offers citywide. And, does the use of the earned Boyd card points for meals, etc generate a "play" day as counted for ADT? For example, if I am downtown and use points for a meal at MSS without much play thru, will that cause my ADT to suffer? I know that the use of my TR cards anywhere counts as a play day, just curious if Boyd does the same.
1.) Boyd treats all their properties and individual properties, you get no cross-marketing (sans Boyd Downtown; MSS/Cal/Fre all are "sorta" considered one property) 2.) I don't think using your card for meals counts as a "play day".
I recently stayed 3 comped nights at the Orleans. Checked in very late the first night and jetlagged so went to bed straight away. The next day (Day 1) I played at the Orleans all day, morning to night. On Day 2 I took the shuttle bus to the Gold Coast and played there all day morning to night. Early morning on Day 3 I checked out around 6am and headed to the airport, did not play at all so as to not affect ADT (nor did I have any time to play having to leave at 6am). Was this a bad move to split my 2 full days worth of play between the two properties?
Depends on play level of course / maybe card level. I get two nights comped over 60 day calendar and used to do the same thing, one day at go and one at O. 25 cent vp and craps. Never had to have "the talk" about low-playing. Orleans has lots of rooms to fill so probably anything significantly above NO play is ok. Let us know if offers drop though as a guide but I think u r ok.
At least with Sams Town, Boyd seems to be more generous with freebees than CET. I'm finally (blow on fingernails, wipe on blouse) Sapphire level and I did not get charged resort fee on a recent stay. They now tell me that Platinum at CET gets charged resort fee on comp rooms.
