Has anyone received their August offers yet from Boyd yet?

I've been getting 2 free nights at the Cal each month since about June or July of 2012. But I havent received anything for August.

Just trying to make sure I am not the only one. But I suspect that I didnt play enough at the Cal when I used their offer back in March 2013.

I did play more at the MSS. Maybe that had something to do with it?

I received the August mailer quite a bit ago. If fact two weeks ago I got the Oct mailer.

Did you check your B Connected on line offers?

Play at MSS, Cal or Fremont all count as one, so it doesn't really matter where you play. But, if you're playing VP, Cal & MSS are better than Fremont, at least at the bartops.

Thanks Joe. That's what I was afraid to hear. Regarding Bconnected online, that is how I found out that I didnt have any offers for August. I was just used to seeing 2 nights for the next month whenever I logged on. Oh well.

My 2 night offers only lasted about a year. To be honest, I am not even sure how I got those offers. I figured it was from my March Madness 2012 play. But to be honest I know I played more during March Madness 2013. All in all though I will still play at Boyd's DT properties - especially while drinking MSS brews at the Boars Head.

I had no idea! so I could stay at MSS and play at the Cal without stiffing MSS?

Also, how does it work at between Orleans and Gold Coast?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

    Best Regards,
    Lolly

Yes on the MSS & Cal question. I can't help on the Gold Coast/Orleans question. Gold Coast is one of the few casinos I have never walked in, but of course if you are using your B Connected card, your play will count for points. But, I don't know if that gets into the stiffing the casino range if you are at Orleans and play at GC.

You could always call and ask.

Same thing happened to my Mom. I have offers through October her offers stopped in July (We are going next week):grrr::drunk::drunk:

I called MSS marketing for her and was told that her offers dropped due to 18 months of no activity. She missed our summer trip last year.

I usually stay and play at Orleans, get 2 nights comp every 3 months, played some at Gold Coast, and Sams Town, and Suncoast, get 3 comp nights at ST every month, and 2 at Gold Coast and 2 @ Suncoast.

Just to let you know I am primarily a VP player with some $1 slots now and again, so no high roller.

If you are staying at Orleans and play some at GC, it should show up in your Bconnected offers, I actually get mailers from ST,GC, and Suncoast, and I live in the UK!!, make about 2-3 trips every year.

Thanks for your reply. I was assigned The Orleans after Stardust closed. I requested a switch to Gold Coast because it is closer to the Strip. I stayed there once in their Dirk Diggler 70s style two suite (shag carpets, standard GC bathroom, 70s style furniture / wet bar). Didn't get repeat offers as I did not play as much during that stay.

I'm at Orleans based on their 2 day flyer offer. I also get offers at The California. I'll try to seed a SunCoast stay during one of my California days (take the Wax there/back). Gold Coast remodeled all rooms, so I'd prefer GC to Orleans at this point (for future offers).

Sorry, I'm a bit late in replying; but I already booked a night on a Fremont offer for Sept. I'm now waiting on Nov. offers to see what changes I might make for our annual Halloween trip.

Viva, I have an email into Gold Coast asking them that question. I will let you know what they say and into a Boyd gaming guru friend of mine.

I do not recall seeing any changes on the casinos, but you have to designate your down town home casino. You can still use your points at any Boyd casino, but offers would only come from your home casino. The Cal and MSS are linked so your primary offers would be from your selected home casino. There may be some cross offers for tournaments. The VP tournament machines are at the Cal and the slot tournament machines are at MSS.

After being sick on one visit last year, my MSS offers disappeared for one month. It returned without meals, but my wife still had them so we now book under her name. We do have linked accounts and also our October offers.

I'm a doof I do have offers through October; but how does one designate their "downtown home casino?"

gamblersruin, I don't know this first hand, but I have been told you can ask your host downtown like at MSS to make them you home casino.
Plus, you get a year to do your tier? I'm little shakey on this part. The undowntown casinos you only have 6 moths I believe.

HAWJOHN also stated "selected home casino". So this makes twice I've heard it.

    Best Regards,
Lolly -who is still waiting to hear back from Boyd and Boyd guru friend.

I'm going to have to disagree Hawjohn. MSS is my home casino, but I also get room offers from Suncoast & Orleans on a monthly basis. Suncoast I did give some play to earlier this year, but I haven't been in Orleans since we moved in 2010 but I still get room & tournament offers.

My apologies since I may not have been too clear on my response. I was speaking only on the three down town casinos (MSS, Cal & Fremont). If MSS is your home casino, I would be surprised if anyone received mailed offers from the Fremont or vice versa.

As to Gamblers Ruin's question on designating their down town home casino, I believe the best way is to notify the players club booth. It is okay to notify a host, but sometimes they are not around or many players may not have a host. When I swapped from the Fremont to MSS, I received a new players card. This does not impact on the other Boyd casinos in Las Vegas.

On Lolly's response on points, the card (formerly tier) score would be valid for one year from the date it was played. Normally, it is deleted during the first few days of the following month, a year later. For Vegas residents, it is only good for 6 months. Each card has an anniversary date from which the card level is determined based on points accumulated for the past 12 months.

When I queried the casino on slot points, I was informed that they are valid for 18 months. They are deleted if there are no activity on the card after that period.

OMG, Is it just me, could they possibly make this more confusing. In comparison to other clubs, it seems a little more complicated.
That being said, better to understand this system than to play inferior games on a easy system.

    Best Regards,
Lolly- who is still waiting for response from Boyd and friend.

Had to laugh. Got an offer for five nights, airfare, food, etc for $799 from Honolulu. Would be a bit costly flying from Canada to get this special.

MSS is home casino. Get as many, if not more, offers from Orleans. Haven't played there in a couple of years.
