To me, they comp fine. Im a black cardholder there and basically you accumulate comp dollars for spending. I have a trip set-up there for valentines weekend.

I'm not sure if they are stingy, I've played there three times since October and I am getting comp rooms and just got a mail for their "fly borgata" program. After three trips, I am around 300points from black label card.

Here is a quick summary of my three trips:

First trip: only played baccarat, from around 1 to 12am at their midi table. I'm not sure my avg but I was betting around 100-1200, I went up 5k by 5pm and lost it all plus another 4k by 8pm then won my 4k and another 1k by 12am.

Second trip: went with my wife and stayed at their corner room, so we played slots, bj, and baccarat. I play baccarat from 11am to 5amish and lost around 5-6k but we played $15bj tabke from 9am to 2pm and I turned my 300 buy in into 3000 so I was down around 2-3k that trip

Third trip: got there by 1pm and play baccarat until 3 and was up 2k, took a break and played slots for a bit and lost $400 so decided to play baccarat again and ended up winning $4.5k by 8pm and left. My bets were around 100-500.

    Cheers.

I get free rooms all the time from borgata. And the comp dollars you accumulate from table games seems to be much better than caesars properties, for example.

My last trip there, two days, I had $900 in comp dollars for about 6 hours of craps play at $700-1000 per roll. The same at caesars seems to net me about $50 in rewards credits.

I always am tipping the dealers, and so I have a feeling the pit boss tends to rate my play higher.

However, I've never had any luck with the hosts comping anything over the comp dollars. Now, I don't go there often, so maybe that's why...

You are 100% correct regarding the hosts and comps at borgata. Hosts are basically worthless unless you want to book a room. The comp dollars are how you get comped for F&B there.

The hosts I've had there usually leave and go somewhere else quickly. My last trip I received around $1200 in comp dollars during a 2 day trip playing blackjack and baccarat. Maybe the hosts are there for bigger players which they do get.

I actually like this system since it's almost a comp yourself trip based on your play. No pressure to play and you know what you need to pay for since you can check your comp dollars online or over the phone.

But I believe for our kind of action, we can receive more thru a host (if we give our normal play) with CET and not worry about the back end comps like borgata. I get suites, "fly borgata" flights to/from DC or BWI etc but all my F&B comes from my comp dollars.

I would agree, no way to tell if they are "stingy" when you're betting multiple black chips...

They also have some weird thing where you can only accumulate like $3000 (or some amount) and then you stop accumulating until you spend it. My friend a few years back went on some epic tear and maxed out his account so he ended up buying some overpriced digital cameras just to get some value out of them. The rules may have changed since then not sure.

I haven't been to borgata in 2.5 years but I still get free rooms for any night when I login to their website. Use to go quite a bit but haven't been able to make it down recently. I think they want their money back from my last few trips. :).
