We're driving back to LA on a Saturday but want to stay at one of the casinos at the CAL/NV border. Anyone got any suggestions which one to stay? There will be 4 guys and will be there on a Saturday night.

Are you talking about the three casinos in Primm, NV? Primm Valley is supposed to be the nicest. Buffalo Bills is the theme park-y one, and has the biggest casino, with the roller coaster and other rides (and a pool shaped like a buffalo). Whiskey Pete's is the oldest and sketchiest of the trio.

I've only stayed at Buffalo Bill's personally and it was fine. Nothing special, but ok for one night.

The buffet was not good, but they did have a food court at Buffalo Bills (and a Denny's and some tex mex place). I think Primm Valley has the most restaurant food options (steakhouse, brew pub, original pancake house).

Night life wise, I remember there being a lounge and I know there's a concert hall, but it's not like Vegas (at least the times I've stopped) so the entertainment is fairly limited.

There's also a big outlet mall attached to Primm Valley. They're all connected via a tram.

The Bonnie & Clyde death car is somewhere there too.

For four guys, I'd probably say Buffalo Bills. It's the biggest casino and has the most entertainment options. If you plan on spending time at the outlet mall, and/or want a nicer room or better restaurants, you can check out Primm Valley. The only one I'd avoid is Whiskey Pete's. It's definitely the least interesting of the three (and you'll probably only save like $10 total).

Just my 2 cents. Good luck!

I would,nt bother with the shopping mall, LV premium outlets offer better choice and prices.

I've stayed at all three and Primm Valley has the nicest rooms & food options. Buffalo Bill's was the best for budget and location. Whiskey Pete's was kind of sad. We ended up way, WAY down a hall with a view of a dirt mound.

LoL, when I was celebrating my 22nd birthday (21st went to Reno because none of my friends were 21 yet), we stayed at Whiskey Pete's for a week (Sun-Fri) for like $25 a night, haha.
It was OK for college kids, and we took $500 a day off of the Buffalo Bills BJ tables. (Although we were in Vegas all day, at night we'd come "home" and win money, haha)

    Would I do it again?
Probably not...but it wasn't bad, since we were poor. (At that time, I had no idea about "comps")
