I tried to search for this question but didn't have any luck. Perhaps I didn't ask the correct way :rolleyes2:

When I enter my info, along with my wife's, on the Caesars Total Rewards website, I get their lower end properties in Las Vegas comped for weekdays, and an occasional weekend.

I am considering a guys trip in August and when I log in only using my info, there are no comp offers and the prices seem pretty high.

If I book a room using my info and my wife, but then she doesn't go on the trip, will the folks at the registration desk notice and then charge me the full rate? I wouldn't want to risk it and get to Las Vegas and then be told my reservation wasn't valid and I had to pay the full rate that day.

    Thanks for your help.

Yes, they would notice. When you agree to the terms of the reservation they tell you both parties must be there.

When you book a room with a TR card, that card holder must be present with proper ID at check-in. So both you and the wife need to be there.

Also, when checking hotel rates, are you using the 'offers' section, or do you log into the calendar and see what offers there are? Doing the latter will insure the best selection of comped rooms for you or the wife.

Just log into the TR website, enter your pin # (making sure you are logged in, then go down to the rate calender and click "all Las Vegas hotels". You will see all the CET hotels. Look at the month of August, you will probably see comped and/or partially rooms. You must enter YOUR TR card if just you and the boys, they will check that at the desk if she's not there.
Use the rate calender for the dates you want to go as the first choice, if your card doesn't seem as good as hers, then try whatever offer is best. Make sure you put in the standard room, that may be comped or partially comped/discounted..............buy booking the cheapest room you can then use the $20 trick at the desk to upgrade. I'm showing Quad, Flamingo, Bally's, Harrah's, and Rio comped in August Sun-Fri. Also keep in mind that if you are staying a few days or a week, you can book a couple of hotels if comped (Flamingo 3 days, Bally's 2 days etc).

yes they would notice and they wouldnt let you check in without both people whose tr number is on the reservation.it doesnt matter if your the one with more comps they still wont let you check in without your wife. and in your case your wife is the one with the comps anyway. they are strict about it too.

They will let you check in but they will charge you the rate that is available on you TR offer not combined. Both humans must be there in person to get the better rate but you will get to check in.

Thank you all for your replies.
It looks like a package deal with air and hotel is the way to go for this trip.

I have not found "package" deals to be better.
You may be better off doing individual searches.

Just to answer your original question and confirm what others have said, I always book this way when traveling with my wife and both times I stayed at CET she'd go to the front desk while I was parking the car and they wouldn't complete checking us in till I got there.

Do any of your buddies have TR cards? If so, enter one of their cards as the companion. Even if none of them do, they can open one online and the website will provide the number immediately. You can then use that number as the companion. I did this with my wife, and even though she has never even used the card (in fact she doesn't even have a physical card), I get better rates on the rate calendar using her number as the companion versus just my number alone. I hope this helps.

For what it's worth, I have been able to have a reservation with my buddies TR number in it and not have him show up for the trip. He was stuck in NY when Superstorm Sandy came through and I was able to get in no problem, no increase in rate (which I would have had booking by myself). YMMV.

Yeah they are really serious about this rule but its possible for them to waive it. I stupidly added my girlfriend's TR number in a reservation last month even though she had almost no play history. When I checked in she wasn't with me and they made a big stink about it and told me I couldn't check in without her. I explained she had almost no play, the comp and host are all mine etc. and they made some phone calls and waived it but still insisted she come in later to check in. I highly doubt you can get away with what the OP is intending which is to book with a companion's number who won't be there at all.
