All 3 times we've stayed at Flamingo, have booked online. Wondering if there's any advantage price-wise, if calling / booking direct via phone? Un-advertised specials, etc.? Platinum member, because of Total Rewards credit card, if that makes a difference. What's worked best for you??

Nope, you're best bet is to just book online. Keep checking the rate calendar, when you see a great rate, book it. If it drops even lower, cancel and re-book it.

What is the difference between booking online and via phone? Are there any charges for booking by phone? I am thinking of booking by phone instead of online for my first TR offer for free nights. I also want to make sure I get my free play offer too for booking.

At times, when booking by phone, I've been offered a "friends and family" rate for adding rooms to the reservation, once at the same discounted rate offered to me.

    Anyone else have that experience?

I always book online because i get comped nights and don't bother with free play, food, etc.I just want the free nights.

However, i just got an email from the LinQ today for 2 free nights (Sun-Thurs) from Nov.9-through Dec.

I already booked PHO for 5 nights comped Nov. 16. I know that it can't be done online and when this happened a few months ago i decided not to call and kept my 5 nights comped together.

But if i call the Linq (i would like to stay at the LinQ to try out the new rooms), and tell them i want to stay Wed/Thurs. I would keep my booking at PH Sun-Fri, but i will also have booked 2 nights at the LinQ.

I do realize that i'm paying for 5 nights and 2 nights in resort fees, but that's OK.

Basically i'm staying at two CET properties at the same time. Would this be possible?

I always book online, and only Call if I need to make a change that I can't do myself..........

For example, I booked Caesars stay with Rio tourney, starting tomorrow.........
In the meantime, I got Cromwell stay comp.
So I called to get Crom stay, instead of Caesars (been there, done that many times) but wanted to make
sure that I could change to Crom without Losing the tourney offer?
    Called, and got easily changed.

    * Alittle hint............If you Call reservations and go thru phone tree..........always say NEW reservation.
YOu will get to the front of the line, versus if you say Change or Cancel, on hold forever........

    Thanks CLV.

So if i call LinQ and say new reservation, then i book the LinQ for 2 nights using my offer code but keep my PHO room as is, will they know if have a reservation for those last 2 nights? I don't want to lose the 3 nights i have comped. But i would like to stay at LinQ in the new rooms for 2 nights.
It's basically a fact finding mission. If i really like the rooms i will stay there in 2015.

I already have booked Planet Hollywood for 5 nights comped Nov 16-Nov 21, i did this a few months ago online which i always do.
But i have an e-mail offer for 2 nights with an offer code during the time i'm in Vegas.

What i would love to do is keep my comped conf # at PH for 5 nights. But would also like to book LinQ for 2 nights with the new conf #.

I want to keep my 5 nights at PH but use the last 2 nights at the LinQ.

I always use my CC when checking out. When i check out at PH and LinQ on Friday, i would just leave the keys in the box at PH and LinQ. I never have to wait in line because my resort fee is on my CC and i don't charge anything to my room.

I'm scared that if cancel 2 nights at PH then call or book online, that it somehow won't happen.

Upon further review, they charge $10 if you call. So if i cancel the last 2 nights at PH (and keep Nov 16-19), then book LinQ on line with a new offer code, will that be possible?

I don't think it's possible. I had the 26th and 27th booked already comped. Went online to book a room for the 25th and was informed that I already had a reservation for this time frame, which I didn't but I guess the CET computers figure if I check out on a day and check in at a different property on the same day, that's double booking. (Stoopid CET puters). So I had to call to make the reservation. The lady I talked to double and triple checked my info, making sure that I wasn't already booked for the day in question. That's the way it appeared to me though. Besides, it wouldn't make sense that they would give 1 person 2 comped rooms for the same day. They would make you cancel the reservation already in place for the LINQ dates.

    Thanks wpete.

What i might do is ask some people who are checking out what their impression of the rooms were. According to my e-mail, Oct 30 is the opening date.
The e-mail offer is from Nov 8-Dec 25-14

I used to only book online but the last time, I had to call in because the calendar was showing different rates after I clicked through on it to actually book. The lady on the phone was able to combine comped nights on my calendar along with an offer I had, so I actually came out with more free nights that I would have if I was booking it online.

Although it is my first booking, I booked online and later called to change a request in accomodations. I'm glad I did because resort fees of $28.00 per night were waived.

I was trying to book online this time. Kept checking different offers and best I could get online with myself and adding my husband on, was $187 total for three nights at Paris and it was making me pay $131 for Sat, $56 for Sunday and comp for Monday. When I kept trying to check other offers, it would put different offer codes in than was originally described or wouldn't let me select the number of days I wanted on the calendar. I found the website difficult to use. To make a long story short, I decided to pick up the phone. First, he checked my offer which was a two night comp plus $50 free play and tells me I can get Sat and Sun comp. Then ask him if he can add my husbands card and he was able to comp all three nights (I definitely gamble more than he does- or at least, get more RC's as he plays no slots and I play some). So, in my case, it was MUCH better to call. I got all three nights comped at Paris, no tax and no resort fee since I'm a Platinum Total Rewards credit card holder.

We recently booked the Flamingo in October and are going with friends so I called. I was able to get much better rates over the phone (combining my account with my husband's) plus friends are staying at the same rate we got. Online was over $100 more for 4 nights. I'd try calling if you aren't getting comped or free stay offers, they might be able to offer better rates over the phone.
