I'm going to Vegas August 12 - 17 and wanted to attempt staying at a couple of different places, just to mix things up a little. But, after booking the first 2 nights at PHo, I'm unable to book the additional nights anywhere else; I get the old "our records indicate that you already have a reservation at one of our casinos during the same period requested below" routine. I'm guessing it's because I'm seeing comped rates and I can't mix and match like that. Has anyone ever faced this? If so, how'd you deal with it? Can you call the number provided and try to book that way? Or, do you truly have to log out and book without the TR tie-in?

The CET system has a small bug that may be your issue. If you are in hotel A on Sun and Mon, and are checking out on Monday, it will not let you go into another CET hotel on Monday - it thinks you will have two rooms on the same day.

Their reservation people can overide that.

Go to the monthly calendar to see if you are eligible for rooms first and then call.

Or in the above example, you cold go online to book Tues through whatever, and then call to have them add Monday.

I called and got all straightened out in 10 minutes; the guy I spoke with was VERY nice and extremely helpful. 2 nights at PHo for 80 bucks and 3 nights at Bally's for $75. After doing Flamingo the last 5 or 6 trips, I'm intrigued to be trying two places I've never stayed at before.
