Woo Hoo...........booked September 8-15 @ Club De Soliel........

The fiance has a timeshare at Whistler BC that we never use so instead of renting it out this year she swapped it for a week in Vegas. This will be really odd for me, never stayed in a non casino resort down there, or a timeshare, or for an entire week.

We are going to be about four miles from the Strip about a mile west of the nearest casino, Orleans. Pretty psyched but not sure what it will be like to not have a casino on premises. There is a shuttle, and the grounds and pool look great. I can see a lot of cab rides back :drunk:

Anybody ever stay in a non casino resort or hotel ?

Stayed at the Marriott Grand Chateau (Timeshare) three times. Loved it, loved it, loved it. We were a block from the strip and across the street from the side entrance to Planet Ho. Loved the fact that it was an oasis from the hubbub of the casinos, yet just as close as some hotel towers to the casino floor. Nice to be able to make breakfast or a sandwich in the apartment instead of eating out every meal.

Yes. Will be doing it come Monday at Blue Green/Club 36. We usually alternate between Venetian/MGM and here.

Friends have membership (It's points here not time share) at Blue Green. It's just down from MGM on Paradise. About a 2 minute ride. The rooms are nice, they have connected Pizza place, Einstein Bagels, liquor store and convenience store so not bad. The beds and pillows suck but it's a free stay for us. We always treat them to dinner or show when we go and stay here. Only complaint is distance from strip. You have to take cab or their shuttle (unless you want to spend 30 minute walking in heat - did it at night once and it was interesting :) )

    Have fun!
