You might want to rent a car and drive up to Mt. Charleston. It is only about 40 minutes from the Strip, and at that time of year you will get to see some snow on the mountain! There are a couple of good restaurants on the mountain and the beauty of it alone is worth the drive.

You can also go 40 minutes in the opposite direction and check out Boulder City if you haven't already been there.

Lol, just wondering if a guy with a board name of snowplower, really wants to go to Mt Charleston and see snow.:peace:

I do agree it is pretty up there that time of year, but it just made me chuckle.

I have been in Dec. and it was really dead. I have also been in Feb and it had picked up quite a bit. I would imagine Jan to start out really quite and I have heard things dont pick up till Feb.

actually you will just miss one of the biggest conventions of the year, the CES. it ends on the 10th so IMHO you should find vegas to not be that crowded since the conventioneers will leave by the end of the weekend or monday. there is another convention (the AVN expo) that week (jan 14 or 15 to 18) but there will be far less people attending than the CES.

vegas starts picking up right by superbowl weekend but you will be long gone by then.
