Not sure if i should have waited on booking or not. We have a tower room for 61 a night for Oct 20th-24th. I was going to try and wait, been playing MyVegas, but i felt that if we waited to book the higher the rooms would go. I love the EL but wanted to stay on the strip as well and i keep thinking i can find a better room deal. Did i make a mistake or is it better to book and cancel if needed.

You can cancel up until midnight of the 20th so what could it hurt? Don't know anything about that game but good luck.

That's what i was thinking. Better to have the standby than to scramble for a room at the last minute.

You might want to try Easyclicktravel.com. I just plugged in your dates Oct 20-24 and got a price of $30.00/night for a tower room at El Cortez. Pavillion Rooms were less at $27/night. I have booked through ECT without any problems. I agree with booking early and having the security of a room, then can cancel and rebook of something better comes along.

Yes, book. When you find something better, cancel and rebook. This is the key to getting the best deal on cars and rooms (airfare too if you book Southwest.) i can vouch for El Cortez Tower rooms through EasyClick. I've done it twice, worked out great. Only caveat... That end of Fremont is getting louder than it used to be, so be prepared to hear music from your room, especially on the weekends.

I don't know why i didn't use easyclicktravle, as i have seen that deal before. I always ask for the highest room possible and the noise last time was not horrible. We also got an email for Nugget, the 47 a night deal with a free room in Nov or Dec. On the fence about that one, with their new fee and all, but i do love the Nugget.
