I woke up this morning and started wondering why the beard grows so much faster than head hair.

What do you think about this phenomena?

Perhaps facial hair does not grow faster but appears to grow faster. An easy test would simply entail shaving both head and face then measuring the results across time points.

My beard growing prowess says the opposite. My beard just gets scraggly after a while. I tried adjusting the guard on the trimmer to slowly grow a manly beard. but failed. No ZZ Top beard for me.

I think you better watch Survivor tonight -
so you can get a glimpse of Jenn, on the jury.
She might go for a guy with a beard ?

I believe it's a known "fact" that hair always grows faster, longer, and in places where you don't want it and vice versa! Going beyond that probably strays into religion.

You should try being a peri-menopausal woman. One day, nothing, the next day I find a 3" long hair coming off my chin. What the hell!?!?!

I have a fantastic thick long hipster-type beard.

but I've been losing my hair since my mid-20s. I'm constantly hat-wearing, but I'm still a little self-conscious about it.
I wish my bald head area could grow like my beard does.

IF you could transplant nose and ear hair onto a balding head...you'd look like cousin It in a year. :D

Yeah Lionel, I feel you. I have had my beard for over 30 years. It has always been thick and full. I wish I could say the same for the hair on my head.
