I was at twin river in Ri last week and while I've had sessions where I've lost more $$, I've never quite had a losing streak like this. 1st hand I win w a 16 against a 10 and I'm thinking that's a good sign for this session...wrong! I then proceed to lose 12 hands in a row! I'd guess that some folks here might have had a worse run than that, but I've never hit double digits before. 5 or 6 but not 12. Needless to say after number 12, I told my friend lets get out of here! I'd be interested to hear people's worst run of losing in a row at a Bj table and did you stop or start chasing? Thankfully I was at Mohegan sun a week earlier(degenerate) and got a spin on a $25 Wof machine that turned into $3000(wow, so that's what a hand pay feels like so many of you talk about!) fortunately that spin keeps me above water for the month...here's hoping nobody replys with a "well I once lost 18 in a row" story!

12 in a row sucks but not unheard of. I used to bonus bust casinos online years ago when it was easy and very profitable. So I would grind thousands of hands of bj at a time. I had some pretty bad losing streaks. I cant remember off hand the worst but 12-15 would happen every once in awhile. Just think, if you hit the 16 vs the 10 like the book says, the order of the cards would have been completely different and almost certainly wouldnt have lost 12 in row (I guess still possible but not likely).

Sorry voltron, I should've said I did hit the 16, got a small card and the dealer busted..to your point tho, I should've wished for either a ten for me or a dealer 10 w no draw! Lol

I lost 12 in a row at Bacc once.

which is actually worse because it wasn't like I was betting against a streak.

I just couldn't pick the right side to save my life.

    terrible shoe.

    cost me 200k.

fortunately, I switched tables and won the 200k back on an awesome shoe.

I once had a dealer get six blackjacks in a row in Free Bet Blackjack. I should've left after #3 or #4, but the dealer was a pretty good sport. Even he couldn't believe the stroke of bad luck I was having. I think I dropped $2K in that session alone -- the worst one I've had.

Those that martingale bet will know. You can lose 12 in a row And one losing streak will kill you.

The key is to do what you did shifter switch tables.

I believe in ebb and flow. Up and down. So flat bet the losses and pound the wins.

I've had dealers tell me to color up and leave. One dearer actually. Shouted out. Coloring up and took my chips to color up. He peeked at a queen. Turn up the ace. Reach and color me up.

He said I didn't win a single hand I should switch tables or leave

I don't think I've ever lost 12 hands in a row, but I have lost 9 doubles in a row. It was this tiny bit of variance that instantly made me bored with card counting.

I've lost 12+ in row more than once... once at Harrah's, I went through an entire 6-deck shoe without a win (a few pushes, but the rest were losses)... but the most notorious was at Circus back in the early 90s...
It was a two deck pitch game... I was dealt twelve 12s in a row and busted with 22 on all 12 hands...
I pointed the streak out to the dealer on about the 5th one...she called the pit over to tell him about it after the 8th one.
He then stood and watched along for 4 more identical hands and outcomes... on hand #13, I got a 20 and my first win.

All I can say is that flat-betting $5 for most of those 12 hands saved me!
NOTE: The story alone has almost been worth the $80 or so that it cost me...I use that story to argue against using the Martingale system in blackjack.

Finally have the room booked! Look for me Feb 21-23

I saw my buddy go over 20 hands (it might have been 25) at the Monte Carlo about 9 years ago without winning. He didn't lose them all, but the majority of them were losers. But he was flat-betting $5 so the carnage wasn't horrible.

But the most bizarre I've witnessed was my mother throwing seven straight craps (2, 3, or 12) in Atlantic City at a $10 table. After the seventh, she rolled a point, then rolled two more craps! If I only had a dollar on the "Any Craps" at the beginning of the roll, and parlayed it..........

    About 10 years ago I lost/pushed 15 in a row. I think I lost 9 or 10 of those hands.

I learned the hard way early in my gambling career that Martingaling is not good in Black Jack, because the house will win about 55% of all hands and thus it is more likely that the house will have longer winning streaks. Now, I only Martingale only on even percentage win games or greater.

    two stories here

firstly, about 7-10 years ago, was invited to bj tourny at flamingo. lost all 13 hands i played. was unbelievable.

secondly, in the last year, was playing in bj tourny at the horseshoe in cincinnati, was dealt 13 6 straight hands while the guy at third base got 20's and bjs every one of those hands. finally, i bet half of what i had left and got dealt 88 against a 6. split the 8s and got a 5 on both hands for two more 13s. of course the dealer made a hand and i was out without winning a hand for the second time.

hoping for a little better luck here in a couple of weeks

I don't remember the number of hands I lost in a row (I'm sure it was over ten), but I do remember winning 16 hands in a row at Mirage. It was a while ago; during the first few months that Celine Dion starting singing at the new Caesars Colosseum.

Not losses in a row..but was playing at Harrahs New Orleans a few years back. Played at the same table for about 5 hours and got my fair share (probably 45-50) of 19's over the course of the night and LOST every single one of them. It got to a point that I was begging to get 17's and 18's... Just don't give me a 19. Was a weird evening.

I pushed or lost 18 hands that I got a twenty. It was so bad, when I got A9 against the dealer 6, the other player said "oh no" and dealer pulled a ten and dropped a 5.

I know that feeling.......Man, it can't get any worse.... but it does.

Not sure which is harder to do. Leave a hot table because you feel there is so much money to win or leave a cold table because you know the table will soon turn and you will win back all your money.

Mirage a few years ago. 16 straight losses at 25 a hand. No wins. No pushes. Completely sober. All losses. By the end, I just rode out the 400 I bought in for since it was getting comical.

I've lost 21 in a row at MGM flat betting. Terrible. I've also had a dealer pull an 11 card 21 on me at Paris.
