really thinking of trying this to broaden my gambling horizons
my last session at craps really sucked , so looking for other games
tried b.j once at green valley , lost six hands in a row
anyway ... what are the basic rules , some things you should do and some you should not ?
I know nothing of this game except 3/2 pays better than 6/5 or is that backwards??
I will be in tunica in a few weeks and want to try the game when there
    I will be a low bettor......5.00....tables
I don't want any in depth stratagies , just the beginner rules
    thanks .....

3/2 pays better than 6/5 which pays better than 2for1. Grab a basic strategy card in the casino gift shop. You can refer to it while you play. Many casinos offer lessons during slow times so you can get your feet wet. If you want 5 tables you'll find them a lot easier off strip or downtown. If you go to Four Queens they have a deal where you can get "Win Cards" which have rules and basic strategy fir a few games. You buy them at the players club and you get $15 in promotional chips (bet like real money at the tables, but can't be cashed directly) with the cards for $10. I believe you can only do this once.

Buy a book and then practice by yourself till you can make most decisions without pausing, it wont take real long, then head on out to the real casino and enjoy.

My ad vice is buy a couple of books on BJ. Forget about counting, but learn about the game , the rules, the variations of the rules and most importantly Blackjack Basic Strategy. With perfect BBS you almost play even with the house, giving up less of a PC than the good bets at craps, let alone the bad craps bets.

BJ is a great game, you should enjoy it.:peace:

    Have fun.:peace:

I couldn't agree more. You'll be surprised by how quickly you can learn basic strategy. As mike says "Have fun".

Must be a few million sites online that help learn. Great software for computer or smartphone as well.

    Have fun!

Get one of those little cards with the chart to show when to hit/stay.

Practice a bit at home. I don't consider it practice so much has having some fun.

Try to play early morning at an empty table in the casino. If you play at a full table you have more of chance to end up with one of those BJ know it alls who will criticize your play and suck the fun out of BJ.
