Hi everyone. I'm looking for advice as my wife and I are going to Vegas later this year. We'll be there from Sunday 18th August staying a week for my 30th birthday and also our 1st wedding anniversary. There are really two things that I'm looking for some advice/ideas about. 1. Upgrade We've booked a petite king room at the MGM and, in the hope of getting an upgrade or something extra, the travel agent has put the reasons why we are going to Vegas on the booking. Anyone know what the likelihood of us getting anything through this is or should I still try the $20 trick? 2. Things to do I've been to Vegas once before about 3 years ago with some friends of mine and as we were a group of fellas we were happy to sit gambling and drinking all day with a bit of shopping added. We never left the strip so I didn't see much of Vegas but this time I'd like to see as much as possible. The tricky thing is that my wife is a beach holiday type of person and would be happy lying around a pool all day, every day. Because of this she's never had any great desire to go to Vegas but since I've been itching to go back since I returned and it's my 30th, she suggested we book. What would be the best things to do so that she won't miss the pool? The only thing that she has said is on her 'to do' list is visit The Venetian. We will likely have somewhere between $300-500 budget per day which will have to cover food, drinks, gambling etc. and I currently have 85000 LP on MyVegas to use which will increase before we travel. We aren't really clubbing people but we do like sitting in a bar having a couple and just relaxing. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
