    My Trip Report

Okay, so I fly out tommorow for the start of a 3 day weekend in Vegas.
This happens to be my annual golf trip with old friends, with our first one in Vegas. This also marks LV trip #3 for me this year, and I am hoping to shake off the streak of bad luck I have been on -5K for the year.

Co-horts for this trip are "Stinky Pete" and his wife Stella,
Bobo, Uncle Fester, "Bullsh*t Al" and his wife debbie, myself,
    and "Pirate Joe".

Bankroll is a little light this trip, since I have around 1K commited to golf and side bets on the course and around 1.5K for gambling money in the casino.

Three nights at Ballys, and 3 days of golf. After much wrangling we booked a 3 day golf package to play the following courses: Desert Pines, Bali Hai, and Royal Links. We also booked two "Par Mates" for our round at Bali Hai.

I will be rolling in on Friday evening from Indianapolis after wrapping us business, with other crew straggling in on late Friday / Saturday morning.

Next post to be from IND airport bar!

Looking forward to your TR! Do you think its cheaper to fly out of IND instead of DAY? Fellow SW Ohioan here, and always looking for a cheaper option than CVG!

Unlike beejay, I prefer EXTEENDS. Prepping for this trip by drinking garorade and vodka. Also plan on cracking open my Chicago Bears dipped bottle of makers.

I don't have a preference. Most of the time I am going to Vegas between work trips. Colombus isnt bad for flying swa. Cincy is overpriced, but CVG is close to my house and I finally hit delta gold medallion last year, so the 1st class upgrades are nice.

I leave Monday for our 14th annual 3G trip. 3G; Golfing, Gambling, and Guzzling.
There will be 16 of us total. Bear's Best, two rounds at Badlands, topping it off with TPC Las Vegas. Staying in the middle of all those courses at Suncoast. Something different this year.
I'll be packing the clubs Saturday. I'll have the Memorial on the tube and a beer in my hand as I get them all perfect.

Did Walters Golf send you those emails with specials? I wonder if those specials dropped in price now that it's June. That's why we waited until June this year to take advantage of those dramatic price drops.

Big tip good luck buddy. We got an email offer for all 3 at discounted rate. I think it worked out to 90 bucks per loop for morning tee time.

At airport and I am #37 on upgrade list for delta. At least I am on aisle in first row on las segment of flight.

Just cracked open a mich ultra.
Hoping for a short cab line, unless I spring for limo service at airport.....

Checked in diamond check in and got a north tower king facing north at Ballys.

Vp really choppy 2nite, but managed a couple of nice hits to bring back my losses. Early morning tee time. Here's some pics.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1338662328.645801.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1338662379.779670.jpg Up early this morning with a massive hangover. Started out with some hair of the dog and hit Bally bartops with some success. Just wrapped up our loop at Bali hai and I will never again play an early morning round after heavy drinking. Par mates were awesome. My buddy pirate joe took plenty of pics since I left phone in car. Will post these later. Ballys vp seems to be best over by front bar by nosh. Managed to pop quite a few quads at .50 level and there is a killer looking waitress by name of Stephanie who gave great service. Planning to hit diamond lounge for a while to recoup. As for my golf game I will more later. Pretty cool playing golf and seeing strip just beyond the green.

Actually I live and work across the river so I get a pass. No hole in one yesterday though we did make the loser of each hole play a pink lady golf ball off the next tee. I don't feel too bad since stinky Pete is a regular golfer with a 7 handicap and only managed to birdie 5 holes. For another interesting side bet we collected a sand tax of 20 bucks for every ball landing in a trap. Far more drinking going on this LV trip then desired. Two mornings of really bad hangovers not good for my game.

Playing desert pines today. Gambling has been Really choppy with wide swings. Down around half budget now.

Plan to update from diamond lounge later today.

Okay, I am posting this live from the Caesars Diamond lounge so I wll try to catch up a little on how the gambling has been.

Friday night got down to the floor and bought in at Bally's bartops for $200 at .50 DDB. Managed to catch a couple quads in the first 20 mins when it went downhill. After losing half my bankroll, I switched up to $1 Double Bonus and managed to pull down a straight flush to bring me back up and then some around $250. (See earlier pic)

Met up with pirate joe and stinky pete and we headed over to the blackjack tables where I proceeded to go on a heater and triple my two hundy by in.

Alas too many shots, and a couple of makers and water I somehow got the idea to go to Ballys HL VP and play triple play $1 JOB. Proceeded to dump $ 420 of my winnings back in short order, with best hands being a couple of full houses.

Pirate joe pulled me off the $1 Vp and we walked up to the front of the casino where I thru in a quick benny in the Buffalo penny slots and managed to pop it for a couple of hundred during the bonus.

Cashed out and deceided to play $1 VP at game makers near front bar. Thru back around $270 before deceided to call it a night.

Woke up next morning with a massive hangover. Obviously playing golf early in the morning was not a good idea, given the drinking that would probally occur. Quick run down to Sullys at 6am and I managed to pop a couple of Quads on the .50 bartops and bring me near even. Grab some asprin from gift shop and a little hair of the dog to recover.

Grabbed a quick bite and caught a ride over to Bali Hai GC. Very nice course and the Par Mates were very nice eye candy. I can't recall all the dirty thoughts I had while I watched them clean my balls, in the ball washer. In fact we all enjoyed asking them to wash all our balls, and to make sure our balls were good and clean. Watching divots get repaired was also an extreme pleasure. I was a total hack with my hangover and only managed to par two holes on the back 9. Finished up the course with a 92 for the day, and paid alot of penalty dollars to the pool. Luckly I was not the worst golfer for the day, and only had to hit a pink lady on about 6 holes.

Wrapped up first round around noonish, and headed back to Ballys for a shower, nap, and then more gambling. Stinky pete was staying at PHo so he met me for lunch and we deceided to grab a bite at Cabo Wabo cantiana. Couple of tacos and a few margaritas and I was ready to hit the tables again.

Bought in at the PHo on a 3 card poker table and went on a tear, getting 4 pairs plus, a flush, and 3OK on the first 10 hands. Got greedy and then started to press my bets on the front end throwing back around $400. Somehow managed to finish up around $350 on the table, and we headed over to the craps table. Bought in for $300 and started betting the pass line at $25 buying in for 6 and 8. Managed to catch a couple of hardways at a nickle each, with some hot coed throwing the dice. After she seven'd out on the 7th or 8th roll, table went cold. A couple of bad shooters (point and then 7 out) took me back to my buyin. Stinky pete deceided to head back over to the 3 card table where he caught a couple of good hands, including a straight flush with 5 of kind flush on dealer side for a bonus payout on 6 card hand.

I headed to VP at PHo and dumped at both $1 and .50 levels. More alcohol resulted in bad judgement and I managed to dump back all my winnings and half my meger bankroll. Ended up wandering back to room where I passed out around 4pm to sleep off some of the booze.

Woke up and hit the diamond lounge at Paris to watch some baseball and then met up with the crew for dinner at Margaritaville and some play in the casino. Won back some money at BJ, but not enough to cover my losses.

Ended up calling it a night around 11pm, since I over indulged and had another early tea time Sunday morning.

Sunday morning, we had an early start since we had a tee time at 6:50 out at Desert Pines. Somehow I had not caught on that mixing booze was not a good idea. Rolled out of bed quick shower, and car ride out to Desert Pines.

Now I have to say this place probally has the nicest practice tees of any course I had been on. Todays game we deceided to play in scramble form with each team chipping in $500 each for the pool and $10 penalty for each hazzard.

To even things up we deceided to pay out for the following:

    1) Longest Putt made
    2) Least amount of hazzards
    3) Longest drive
    4) Shortest Drive
    5) Hole in One
    6) Most offensive joke

I was no slacker picking up the longest putt made, a 20ftr on #3.
Front nine were brutal since it quickly got up in the 90's early and the beer cart was no where to be seen. Luckly Stinky Pete smuggled in some beer in his sling cooler, and by 8th hole we were loosened up. Back nine proved too brutal, and managed to bogey and double bogey every hole coming close to breaking 100 for 18.

After wrapping things up we headed to the Peppermill for lunch / breakfast.
I opt'd for the Pepermill sampler, while most of the other crew went the breakfast route.

Since we were so close we walked over to the Riv for some Blackjack and found a $25 3/2 table which we took over. I bought in for $300 and managed to double up after two shoes. Pirate Joe caught himself a good run of cards in the first shoe. One we all deceide to bet $75 each, with me drawing 4 sevens coming out in a row against a dealer 6. I had $75 up on hand and split 7's 4 times with a double up on 10 and 11. First hand for $150 I catch a face, second hand another face for 17, Third hand I double up to $150 on 10 to draw a 20, and fouth hand I deceide to double up and out pops a nine for a hard 16.

Dealer flips over a 5 and we are all sweating it that a face would drop, since I am the only one sitting on two strong hands, and everyone else has 16 or less. Nope a 2, dealer has 13, draw again 2, now he's at 15, last card to come out is a 7 for a 22.

We let out a big cheer in time for the pit critter to come over and see the dealer paying out a cumaltive 1K across the table.

I managed to crawl back from Saturdays losses. We split up since a couple of guys had their wives with them and had to check in.

I head back to Ballys for a shower and a nap. Sunday night plans were for dinner at Olives and then over to the PHo for craps.

Wake up around 4pm and shower, heading over to diamond lounge at Caesars for a couple of drinks. Not much happening in the joint, but managed to spot quite a few working girls on the walk thru the casino.

For the heck of it on the way out I deceide to pass thru the palace casino and throw $200 in a dollar video slot. About the forth spin I line up 4 rows of Napolean symbols on Napolean and joshpine on a $100 wager.

Holy Crap! thinking I just popped a big payout, I see the call attendant box pop up on the screen with no jackpot amount. [email protected]!! Turns out the slot malfunctioned. When the east asian slot attendant came over to assist she reboots the slot machine only to have it fail at boot up. You can guess the rest. Willy Wonka can sum up what casino slot floor supervisor CET told me about my supposed $1 video jackpot...

Coming up next another great run at 3 card!
