Has anyone on this board been to Biloxi, MS?

And if so, do you have a favorite place to gamble, eat, etc.

Hubby and I are thinking of going in Sept. for a 3-4 days and I would appreciate any input.

We live in Florida, and it is about an 7 hr drive for us.

    Thanks,
    K-9treatbaker

Hi K-9! I was in Biloxi last November and enjoyed it. We stayed at Beau Rivage but spent a fair amount of time at Hard Rock (next door) and a short time at The Grand :grrr:. I did not win but did not really lose either.

I am returning this upcoming weekend. I'm platinum MLife so, the Beau is the best deal and nicest accommodations. I hope better luck awaits me!

If you like Seafood, be sure to stop just before Mobile, AL at Ed's Seafood Shed. It is very close to the Battleship-USS Alabama-just off I-10.

I've been there twice and stayed at Beau Rivage both times. It's nice accomidations and the people were friendly. I can't remember the table min of craps. It might have been $5 when it was slower. It can get busy there on the weekends.

Been 4 times. Flew from Orlando to Biloxi 3 times and drove once.
I only stay at The Beau! Decent casino, spa, rooms and buffet.

I have been 5 or 6 times, usually a junket out of Northwest Arkansas and stay at the Beau and it is very nice casino. We have also stayed once at the IP which we also liked very much.
We go to Biloxi whenever we can there are a lot of good seafood restaurants in Biloxi/Gulfport

The Beau Rivage and The Hard Rock are the best casinos in Biloxi. They are also right next to each other, about a three minute walk. They usually hike up the table minimums on the weekends. Monday thru Friday, during the daytime there are plenty of $5 craps and BJ tables, and it is not too crowded either.:peace:

I think you would thing that the trip was worth the time. Beau Rivage, Hard Rock, and IP are the 3 biggest dogs in Biloxi. All are nice properties. The Beau is probably the fanciest (think downsized Bellagio with no fountains). Hard Rock is the hippest and tries to ensure a fun upbeat party atmosphere. IP is maybe the most appreciative of your business. They were taken over by Boyd within the last year so their situation is sort of fluid as they make the changeover. I personally prefer HR and IP but we are staying a couple of nights in a week or so at the Beau because they love my girlfriend and she loves them. We will then stay a couple of nights at Hard Rock on my offers.

If you finalize your trip, get back with me and I will give you some suggestions to consider, especially if you want to do some eating outside the casinos.

The Grand is terrible for gambling...small and feels barren. Beau has an old selection of games if you like slots and I have never won anything of significance there. There was some decent VP at one time...not stellar but decent. Hard Rock is fun for a couple hours but isn't my favorite. IP has become my place of choice mostly because it is huge and has a good slot selection...best is to go during the weekdays. I also get great comps for the play I have given.

If you like BBQ consider The Shed in Ocean Springs across the bridge.
