Looking to come to Vegas the beginning of October. Turns out it's the same time as bike weekend. Is it super crowded or just on the busy side?
    Thanks for any input.

There are conventions in town 365 days a year, that coupled with plain tourists- it is always a tad crowded. I don't think bike week adds a noticable amount of ppl, you will see obviously more motorcycles around.

In contrast, I have been to Vegas when the rodeo is in town, the number of pickups with horse and cattle trailers was insane and it made traffic even worse than it normally is.

The few times I've been in town during BikeFest, downtown was a lot more crowded than usual, but the Strip wasn't especially busy.

Bike Week is based downtown, Freemont street will be busy. I dont think other than some extra MC traffic on the strip you will even notice it is bikeweek. There is almost always something going on in LV!

    Thanks for all the responses.

We decided to go with it and booked the flights today. We love staying downtown and after checking out the Bike Fest website, it appears most of the action will be at an off site location.

Now, the hard part is waiting until October.

    DT during an event

I was downtown a few weeks ago during the Rockabilly (google if you don't know...I did) weekend. Met some cool people and saw some sick rides. Thanks to this board I was informed instead of walking around wondering why a group of peope had a similar store of dress.

I if you want Vegas all to yourself you have to go in the winter.

Other wise share it. Its like a big orgy, you're either getting f'd by the casino, or getting a piece of the action.
