    Went surf fishing and hit a couple of big chopper blues. Must have gone well over 12 lbs. Gave me a hell of a fight,lost several also,bit thru line.
    Dolphins swam thru and must have scared the bait into the wash because right after blues started hitting.

    You need a steel leader for those big blues. I love them. They will really give you a workout!

    I used bunker chunks at Island Beach State Park . I have some steel leaders in my bag, just to lazy to change them. Funny,if my son hadnt grabbed my pole when the one hit my rod was half way down the beach headed for England. Forgot to loosten up the drag a bit.
