    but will the sports books on the strip take bets over the phone with either CC or debit card?, or only in person for cash?

    No they will not 1000000%. You can do it online if you are a resident but you need to front the money and I've heard the websites and apps are not great.

    Most of the books used to have phone accounts. Now most you have to do on computer or smartphone. A couple smaller places that get quite a bit of action like Jerry's nugget might still use phone accounts but I'm not sure. All accounts have always had to be opened with a cash balance up front per gaming commision rules.

    That's between you and the Proxy if you can find somebody you trust. They would have to open the account for you in their name and be a Nevada resident. They would have to bet it as if it were their own account for you.
