Heading out for Columbus Day weekend & planning to park myself at a sports book for college football on Saturday. On Sunday, though, I want to get my NFL bets in early & spend the day watching the games while playing bartop VP & drinking for free (well, relatively). Which Strip bars combine decent VP with multiple TV's for NFL viewing? I know there's a good one in Aria at the end of the hallway to the sports book, and think I remember bars at Paris & Monte Carlo w/multiple TVs but would welcome other suggestions. Thanks.

I prefer the VP bar next to the Caesars sportsbook.

Great one at Bellagio. Good size VP bar right next to Sports Book and Poker Room.

I second that one. Big TV's right in front of you. I believe there are four on each side which means you can catch four games at once. Plus, the coolest bartenders.

If you don't mind going off-strip -the Gold Coast VP bar in the back is a nice quiet place to watch the games, two big screens and monitors above. The bartenders are great and will put up the game of your choice if wanted..Sportsbook maybe a minute or two walk away.Best thing though here as opposed to others Rio included, you do not have to be at the bar by 9 am to grab a seat. There are always open seats and I've been there every opening NFL Sunday past several years.
Also worth noting-the VP paytables are better than CET props and I find the betting lines a bit more favorable with Boyd than CET.
I'd recommend you take a look on Saturday, compare the Sunday lines between where you are on the strip and there you go..

Hard Rock has a great sports-viewing bar called "Blitzed"... the bar only has about 8 seats w/VP machines, but right in front of you are several incredibly "life-like (HD)" flat screens, the one in the middle has to be like 80".

I realize that the question is about VP bars but I didn't want to start another thread for a similar topic question.

Any opinions on Lagasse's Stadium at Palazzo? My guess is it's not cheap but is it good?

It's considered by many as "THE BEST" place to watch sports in Las Vegas.

    Palazzo

Yeah, I am intrigued by the Palazzo as well - but have heard that the typical minimum purchase is $50 or so (and may be more on Sundays). Is that the case? Anyone ever rented a VIP box? What do those go for?

Typical for Lagasse's is $50 per person, per game for NCAA football, and $100 per person, per game for NFL. If you plan to stay for both the morning and afternoon NFL games, you will be expected to pay $200 per person in food/beverage. Those were the prices last fall.

Lagasse's is overrated IMHO. Sportsbooks = free booze (if you are betting). I don't like being forced to spend that much money when I am already putting a lot of money in play on the games to begin with.

    oh well

That's what I thought about Palazzo. Sounds like I'll be off on a Caesars/Bellagio/Cosmo (Secret Pizza in between games)/Aria/Monte Carlo tour.

Cosmo Book and Stage Bar, and the Pub at Monte Carlo would be two great places to watch games.

You can't bet at the PUB, but it's a great place to watch games, drink and eat. Lots of TV's and decently priced drinks/food.

Thanks for all the replies. We're planning to make our way from Caesars to Bellagio to the Cosmo (with a Secret Pizza stop) to Aria to Monte Carlo, where we'll stick around to take advantage of the reasonable table limits. Should be fun. Now if I could just hit quads once or twice along the route...

For another VP bar not sure how it is now, but the IP third floor used to have a ton of tvs and plenty of VP seats.

To the topic of Lagasse's in my opinion if you can get the stadium seating for a game, it's well worth it for the experience, even with the charge. I've been waiting for my 2 month window to get here for booking our Sunday game this year, and did confirm it's $100/person food/bev purchase this year again for nfl games.

    Off Strip

I like the 32 Degree bar (Beer Bar) at the M Resort right outside the sports book. The bar has TVs overhead but I normally place a bet at the sports book and sit on the left end of the bar so I can play VP and Keno and see the wall of TVs in the sports book.

Besides the view of the sports book TVs, VP, great bartenders, I love having 96 beers on tap to choose from. Still can't see to get off the first row though.

am not aware of any strip bartops that have full-pay vp----off-strip there are full-pay games at the gold coast and downtown at main street station among others-------both are nice bars with a number of tvs within easy viewing

both have full-pay 9/6 job games, mss has 25c and gold coast had 50c at last visit----

What kind of pay tables have you found at Strip bartops for, say, 25c JOB? I know they won't be 9/6, but hope I can do better than, say, 6/5...

25c JOB at bartops on the strip will typically be 7/5.

    Sad, but true.

Dollar pay tables are better than quarters at Aria & Cosmo bartops: i.e. 9/5 JOB (but that was maybe a year ago).
