I'm heading to Vegas and the clock is ticking fast. I was curious as to what video slot machines would be most likely for me to achieve success on? I'm staying at Harrahs, but I'm willing to try other casinos on the strip.

My way of playing at various casinos I've been to outside of Vegas, Cleveland's Horseshoe for example, is to put in a $50 or $100 or sometimes less on 1 cent to $1 slots and hope to hit bonuses.

I've put $5 into a Jackpot Party machine with cascade reels and suddenly something happened and it said, "WIN IT AGAIN!" and immediately I went from $5 to $150. That's a success. Of course, putting in a $50 or $100 and cashing out $600+ would be very nice.

I enjoyed The Hangover slot, as well as Grease. Ghostbusters was fun too and there is a game called Paradise Garden with sliding and appearing wilds that always puts out well.

Can anybody recommend any slots like this or any that they think are pretty good? I stay away from table games and poker, stuff like that. However, I enjoy the video slots very much. Should I do minimum bets? Max bet always?

If there were a slot that pays off more than others you wouldn't be able to get near it. Play what you enjoy at a buy in that feels comfortable to you. If you play a machine that is not fun and you lose (most likely scenario) you feel worse that if you had fun losing it. If you bet over your comfort zone you won't have fun either.

I'm sure you can find basic pay outs if you search the forum but basically higher denominations pay out at higher percentages. That does NOT mean they pay off more often. If you go in thinking you will hit it big you will be disappointed. If you have fun and actually come out ahead it is the best feeling! If you want better odds learn the table games or video poker.

    Just have a blast!

Hey, redguy, I'm a Clevelander too. Went to the Horseshoe last week. Put $1.00 in a machine (forget the name, but the images were vampires and fruit) and only bet one line, a nickel at a time. After a few minutes I won $10.00! I thought that was great only betting a nickel at a time!

I had a great time playing the Battleship slot. It seemed to pay regularly and the bonus rounds were a blast.

I try and play the minimum number of lines at the lowest amount I can. Like 40 lines at 1 cent a line, etc. I move up the number of cents when I start hitting. That said, some machines might require you to play a certain amount to be able to get the bonus rounds so check on that before you play the minimum.

I've always been more fond of the regular 3 reel slot machines. You know how many lines there are, and the max bet. You may want to find one of these and play quarters.

I go out to LV every 3 months or so. Time and time again, and this is supported by my win/loss statements, the only CET Casinos I come out ahead on our IP and PH. Just FYI Harrah's is my biggest loser and their slots are notoriously tight!

    Hey redguy,

I stayed at harrahs on my last vegas trip and did ok.I hit a $500 bonus on a wms machine called Crescent moon with power spins. That win was with a 80cent bet.At 50c a spin your not gonna have a lot of big wins, but if you bet 80c-$1 a spin you could hit some good ones.

    Good luck!

I always play in the area you are staying . The best vp machines are
At the bar at casino royale. Go to the left side of the bar (better paying machines) play .25 DD bonues and Bounes duces. 20 bucks last a very long time on max bet. Add in the bonus times points and free drinks and talking to the other players next to you it's great fun party nite.

You may only stay even or up a hundred but woooooh Whoooo it is fun:wave:

I've won/lost all over CET properties and...I only play slots during
my first couple trips of the new year to get my Total Reward level
set for the year. I'm Platimum/4000 points.
After I reach my level, I just stick to video poker where I have at
least a chance in deciding how I loose my money.
Ya play slots for entertainment, sometimes ya win, but in general,
it's the right machine at the right time.
Always play the machine that is FUN for you, always choose MAX Lines
and then decide the amount you want to play each line but...keep it
FUN and entertaining. You're not going to win big on slots all the time...
    you're simply paying for entertainment.
