Hello, what are some upscale/classy bars in vegas? Not the EDM megaclubs but more of a swank setting with posh design and comfortable layout. Looking for more of a lounge-type establishment. More classy less trashy.

Mandarin Bar, Parasol down(Wynn) and Chandelier Bar(Cosmo) are some of my favorites.

I think occasionally Chandelier and Foundation Room have a very trashy crowd. Mandarin Bar is classy. Fizz at Caesars Palace is also very nice, classy. I think it is nicer than others because photos technically aren't allowed (no hoes taking incessant selfies!), but I have gotten many photos from upstairs.

The bar at the Mandarin Oriental is what you are looking for. Fizz at CP is also a possibility

Of the ones I've been to, I like Mandarin Bar at Mandarin Oriental because of the view, Petrossian Piano Lounge at Bellagio because it's a nice place to people-watch while listening to the pianist, Parasol Down at Wynn because there was this cocktail waitress I liked there a while ago, and Bourbon Room at Venetian. I wouldn't call Bourbon Room classy, but it's a fun spot to listen to eighties music while partaking in their bourbon selection. I always like Heart Bar because of the atmosphere of PH, but again it's not what I call classy, just fun with music and dancers.

If you're downtown, may I suggest The Griffin and/or The Downtown Cocktail Room.

Quick question. The missus and I are planning on hitting up the Mandarin bar prior to our 930 dinner res at the MGM on a Sat in Nov.

Do we need to reserve a table if only having drinks?

I watched a few vids on youtube for hyde. Looks like the goal of the crowd at hyde is to be as unnaturally superficial as humanly possible. Does it tend to have that reputation? Their commercial seems to support/advertise this as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gqp5tdWSfvs

    Ha! Good phrase!!!

I think the goal for most of Las Vegas' upscale joints is to be "as unnaturally superficial as humanly possible", but that doesn't mean you have to play into it or that you can't have a good time at them. For a raw, dirty glass, salt of the earth experience there's always the Double Down Saloon to throw-down in.

Mandarin Bar, Parasol Down, Chandelier and Mix are all excellent choices. I would also throw in Petrossian Bar at Bellagio.

Hyde sucks. It can't carry the Fontana bar's jockstrap.

I'm just bitter because I miss the Fontana bar lol. I liked the layout of Fontana better. You were open to the fountains and not behind plexiglass.
