Will be visiting Vegas mid-Feb and want to tour Neon Boneyard for the first time. Have read that certain times of day are tough to photograph due to lens flare from the Nevada sun mixing with viewing angles of the signs. Does anyone have a suggestion of the best tour time to go to avoid this and have some awesome photos? (aka - morning? afternoon? specific tour time?) Thanks in advance!

Hmm I'd say morning or mid-day. I went at 3. While I got nice photos on my phone... the sun was at a weird angle. But I mean, all the signs are off, it's just a pile of signs basically I don't think you'd have much issue.. It'd be different if you were photographing people.. where they'd get washed out.

This was probably at about 4 when the tour was done, on my iPhone. I think they had just hit the lights for the night tour.

I did a night tour back at the end of June and it was very neat to see the boneyard. The drawback is that the signs ARE lit up, but they are lit up with spotlights and not lit as they were when they were actually in use. There were I believe 2 or 3 that were fully restored and functional but it costs $$$ to restore the signs to make them functiona. My next trip in 34 days I want to see what it's like on a day trip. If I can find time I'll try to post all my pics from the night tour.

Yes, I am hoping to do this tour on my trip this time also. I would also like to do the Mob Museum. There used to be a "combo" type ticket for both the NEON Boneyard and The MOB Museum. Hope there still is

I agree with the day or afternoon tours. That said.. I wouldn't mind doing it again at night!
