Is there a "best" to go to Vegas, as far as price? Is there a high/low season? Just got back and already planning my next trip!!!

When I've looked...December after rodeo, middle of January (after CES). Also coolest weather - high's in the 50's most days; frost on the windshield some nights.

November before Thanksgiving still cheap? Check a few hotel booking calendars (go to their reservations web page) to get an idea of when it's more expensive, when it's less.

High season: Friday's & Saturday's. :rolleyes2: Spring Break. Major conventions throughout the year.

    Sounds like you had fun!

I'd say July, August and near Christmas (other than New Years, of course) are probably the cheapest. But there are other times throughout the year when you can find a deal. If you're flexible with your dates and where you're willing to stay, a good deal can almost always be had. If you have a general time frame in mind, you can go to the hotels websites and check out the the reservation calendars.

If you played at all on this trip, wait a few weeks or so and see if you get any offers from any of the casinos you may have played in. New players often can get some good offers as casinos try win their "loyalty".

The rates are the lowest around Dec 10th to Dec 23rd.
Normally this 2 week window after the rodeo and before x-mas.
When the prices are low, the crowds are also very minimal and mild. That is not a bad thing but it's A LOT different vibe/scene/crowd in mid December compared to right now!

If you are looking at January, book toward the end of the month. The room rates at the beginning of January are jacked up to the max and that is because it is nearly impossible to get rooms due to two major events that take place annually - CES (the Consumer Electronics Show) and the Adult Video Awards. The place is a zoo - you absolutely do not want to go during the first couple of weeks of January!

The high/low prices vary from week to week not really seasonal.

If going to drink and gamble than anytime you get a good price that is the time to go.
Now if you plan to spend a lot of time doing out door activities like Red Rock Canyon and stuff then you may want to question the time of year to go due to the weather.

The weather in late October makes it great, although that will certainly be more pricey.
