Can anyone recommend a great steakhouse on Fremont street? Thanks.....
I regret that I wasn't able to visit it this past trip but Andiamo at the D is getting great reviews. A couple people have already reviewed it on this board.
Haven't been there yet, but I've heard great things about Hugo's Cellar from a few people. Plan on checking it out on my next trip...
Andiamos is the best. Period. Get the Tomahawk.
Surprised no ones mentioned The Flame in El Co
Because the Flame is no where near as good as the others.
Still has a huge following, regardless
I would suggest Redwood at the Cal. Reasonable prices, good food and it is not ala carte.
But a $25 coupon basically making it 2 for 1 really ups it's ranking.
Does anyone have the Andiamo menu with pricing? Thanks
I saw it somewhere, but can't locate it at the moment. I'm pretty sure that Tomahawk steak mentioned earlier was $75 and ala carte.
Thanks gang, much appreciated. Is Oscars any good?
Vic & Anthony's.
I sure like Vic and Anthonys at the Nugget... but sinces its a chain, not something unique to Vegas
My sisters and I ate at Oscar's and really liked it. The menu had a lot of old mob references, which my oldest sister loved. I have also had a couple of good meals at Binion's Steakhouse. Hugo's Cellar is also very good.
I ate at Vic & Anthony's over the Christmas holidays. I thought the meal was excellent, the atmosphere was perfect and the staff was great. I was solo at the bar and the bartenders were talkative and friendly.
Vic & Anthony's... In Golden Nugget?
Yes it is.
Have not had a steak at The D yet so will not weigh in on that location. My take, downtown:
For a good steak, old-school feel but an excellent view, Binion's. Note, this place is being drug drown by the overall condition of the surrounding casino but is still a pretty good play. We had a nice meal there in August and it has the best view downtown.
Hugo's Cellar still deals out the roses and does the salad cart. I like the place but understand that some think it is overrated. However... if you are taking a date it is a very cool, romantic location (the most romantic for the money). I had some excellent duck there last year and have had pretty good steak.
Breeze is right, Vick and Anthony's is a very, very nice steakhouse. It is NOT a value play but you are going to get great steak and the room is everything that you will get on the Strip.
I loved the view from Oscars and have had dinner there when it was not Firefly, when it was firefly and when it was Oscars. I have not had dinner there since they built the @#$%! AssZilla tower that seems to have destroyed the view.
Joe is correct, Redwood is really the best value play, without a coupon. My favorite (below) charges for their excellent mac & cheese and I am not a fan of paying for things like that! I also think Redwood has a really good atmosphere, better than most.
[STRIKE]Robertas[/STRIKE] I mean, The Flame is my #1 choice for value but only if you have a coupon. Make sure to confirm that the piano player is there the night you go. Warning, my opinion is jaded because I only go to The Flame with an LVA or American Casino Guide coupon. It is a must. Atmosphere is "okay" and definitely not as romantic as Hugo's, Redwood or Vic's.
