My buddy and his wife from work are making their first trip to Las Vegas in a couple of weeks. He has diabetes, and eats a lot of seafood and fish. Other than buffets, what would a reasonable choice be on the strip? I know most of the steakhouses have fish on the menu to satisfy the vegetarians, but are there any good choices? They are staying at Bally's.

Emeril's Fish House at the MGM Grand is fantastic, although if you're looking to do fancy dinners, that might be a better choice for lunch (since it's open then, and not quite as "formal" as some of the others).

Bartolatta's at the Wynn, hands down! Emerils is good, but nothing touches this place. The fish is flown in from the Meditterean sea! :nworthy:

I found Emeril's Fish House terribly disappointing.

I like Joe's Stone Crab at Forum Shops best for seafood. Milos at Cosmo is a great choice for lunch. It'll cost some coin, but I also recommend Sage at Aria.

A short walk from the strip is Ellis Island which offers coho salmon at a very affordable price.

Milo 3-course, $22.13 lunch includes seafood options of diver scallop as an appetizer or, for a $10 supplement, grilled octopus
or crab cake. For an entree, both salmon and lavraki (sea bass) are offered.

Julian Serrano has a 3-course, $19.95 lunch that includes Atlantic salmon. At night a $39.95 3-course tasting menu is available
with a seasonal fish as one of the entree choices.

Have him join Border Grill's VIP club and receive a free entree (expires 10/31). There are a couple of seafood entrees plus vegetarian options.

Joe's is awesome. It's the only place we ALWAYS make it to... every trip. Last trip we went twice. And awesome service also.

don't you guys have Joe's at home to go to? I went to Joe's in Chicago and was disappointed with overpriced Applebee's quality food.

Joe's is not bad at all. Never been to the one in Chicago so can't really say. The Blue Stone Crab claws with a nice steak medium well for me is one of my go to favorites. A great meal to end a great trip.

He may be thinking of Joe's Crab Shack. That is a national chain restaurant similar to Red Lobster.

Joes Crab shack is good at least the one here in NY. Is the one in Vegas far from the strip and how much is a cab ride to and from?
