    Hello,

I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were for the best casino(s) are best for comps for ultra low rollers or maybe even just low roller friendly (cheap machines with half decent payouts, etc).

How low roller? I would be amazed if we spent $200 during the entire week we will be there. My girlfriend likes penny slots and I play $.25 video poker, and that is about it!

I am under no delusions, I am not expecting free rooms or anything. Maybe a discounted buffet or free soda (we don't drink so I don't care if a place is loose with the drinks).

Preferably somewhere near the strip as we will be staying at Bally's although I will make it downtown for an evening.

    Thoughts?

CET casinos are your best bet to get an offer to come back for a free or cheap room. With that level of play, NOBODY will give you any comps for the current trip. Okay... rare situation, maybe a buffet, but probably not.

You're already staying at Ballys and that is one of the low roller options on the strip. Just play there. Since you're staying there too it helps a little more.

You probably won't get any comps but you'll be on their list for different marketing offers which could be discounted and maybe free rooms at the lower tier CET places like Ballys, Flamingo, Quad, or Harrahs. Maybe Paris and Planet Hollywood as well -- basically any CET property but Caesars is sort of lower end.

Just make sure to get a players card and put it in the machines every time you gamble!

Yes! All the diet coke I can handle! Just hope they don't use Pespi products at Bally's, lol.

Low roller friendly? Ya know, Ellis Island is right out the back door of Bally's and a short walk and I think would easily meet that "test". Frankly, you're not as unique as you might think... lots of folks don't come to Vegas lookin' to shove thousands into the machines, but I'd tend to follow where the locals go. Station Casinos, Fiesta Casinos, Sam's Town, Eastside Cannery, SouthPoint... hell even the M all have a fair amount of "value" players. Downtown properties also would fit the bill.

Just charge everything to your room and see if you earned enough for them to take something off when you check out. Use you card for everything.

You never know. I went to Primm with only $200 and won $28,800.

I play $.25 VP and my wife rarely plays at all, but we always have a few free room offers available at The Orleans.

Yep, one of the best thing about Harrah's St. Louis turning into a Hollywood Casino. Hollywood serves Coke!

As far as playing, since you are already booked at Bally's I would likely play there if you're looking to generate some offers from CET properties. Only problem with bally's is they have no buffet to offer you, so free buffets may be out of the picture.

Unfortunately VP at all CET properties is pretty harsh at quarter level. The best you'll find is 7/5 Bonus w/a progressive. Way better video poker also exists at Ellis Island, a block behind Bally's. They have NSUD, 9/6 JoB, 8/5 Bonus, 9/7 DB, and 9/6 DDB. The latter four can also be played with Quick Quads. I have never got a player's card there though, so I dunno what kind of comp offers they give.

Also better video poker exists at the Palms and Gold Coast. You can shuttle to the Gold Coast from Bally's (~1.5 miles) and walk to the Palms from Gold Coast. You would also likely get more generous offers from Gold Coast for 0.25 VP, I only gave them a minimal random tourist amount of play this last trip (maybe $200 coin-in tops) and I have an offer for about 25% off rack rate.

It's Vegas.....The CW will tell you it is Pepsi and Bring you a coke....It is all an illusion.....

I dont drink either, but I usually ask for Red Bull in a Can. It is nice to get it free at the machines since a can can run 4 or 5 bucks in the stores or at a bar.

In terms of comps, try playing the MYVegas facebook game. It is fun to play with your morning coffee, and if you follow the tips in the MyVegas threads you will earn enough for a couple free buffets pretty quick.

My girlfriend and I have been playing that... we're a measly level 18 and both have around 4k LP - a far cry from anything free I'd wager. Doesn't help we have like 4 friends and I'm not keen on friending every random person on the internet for a few chips in a video game.

Still, it's fun... I kinda fell out of it already as I have virtually no coin and refuse to sink monkey or tons of time into it. She's a slot machine fanatic though so she truly enjoys it. :)

Bummer about Bally's only having Pepsi, oh well! I was going to go over to Ellis anyway since they have that steak deal and I have coupons from ACG, so maybe I will play there. Guess it's a toss up between Ellis and Bally's at this point.

Thanks for all the feed back!
