I've got a guys trip coming up. I will be in search of great steak dinners and will be either be solo or with a few guys.

Last time we sat at a table at Carnevnio. It really wasn't awkward there for two guys to eat a steak but I think we'd prefer to eat at the bar. That is the case especially if I am solo.

Steak house at Circus Circus, Gordon Ramsey Steak and Prime are on my list. Can you eat at the bar at any of those places?

I've also tried SW and Smith and Wollensky's.

    Thank you for the input!

Tom Colicchio's new Heritage Steak at the Mirage has a nice sized bar, probably 20-25 seats. It is at the front of the restaurant and you can still get the ambiance from the restaurant there. We ate at a table, but it looked like one of the most inviting bars to eat at that I've seen in awhile.

You can walk by the place and see the bar without going in to see if it is what you are looking for. (The steaks were fantastic too.)

There is a bar at Gordon Ramsey and at Prime. Never been to CC Steak.

GR Steak is a very good experience at the bar (very loud music, you may consider that a positive or negative, just be aware) as is Craftsteak.

I know you didn't ask about Carnevino but I have eaten at the bar twice and was treated very well.

I've had many fantastic solo meals at the bar in 35 Steaks & Martini's inside the Hard Rock... like all things Hard Rock, you either love it or hate it. I think the food is OUTSTANDING and the bar-area is perfect to watch a game, chat a bit and enjoy some steak and lobster (what I get).

Nope, it's only for drinks, according to the manager. This was around March that she said that.

The bar at Gordon Ramsay Steak is a solid place to eat. Really like the bar at STRIPSteak, too, although it's smaller.

Old Homestead at Caesars has a bar and amazing steak (better than Gordon Ramsay in my opinion). Bar tenders are friendly and there are two small tvs in case there is a game you want to watch. Probably seats 20 or so.

    N9NE Steak House at Palms

I have eaten many times at the bar and also gotten almost hammered drunk there many times. As Paperposter has hinted at, the hostesses usually wear nice, tight, short skirts.

There is even a TV off the side if you want to watch a game and have a great steak. Very good wine selection. Bartenders are very attentive to you.

There is also a center round bar area with seating, but I have never sat at that. I don't need to be the center of attention.

I've eaten at the bar alone at g Ramsey. Fantastic steaks, great atmosphere and beer selection. Tvs to watch games at the bar too. Maybe cut(Wolfgang puck) at the venetian. Cool vibe great food. I like the bar at GR better though. I'll 2nd old homestead as well at caesars if you're looking for alternatives.

I'll be there a few nights. It looks like GR is a must try. Also, I don't think they have a bar but I've always wanted to try the Steakhouse at CC.

We noticed the bar at Prime and thought about doing that next trip. We tend to eat light (drink more). Sounds like that idea just went to hell. If I remember, it was a very small bar.

Not a steakhouse, but eating at bar at Olives/Bellagio works fine.
