    Hi everyone.

I'm going to be renting a car for my upcoming trip, and I was curious if anyone might be able to recommend the best driving route from the south strip (around LV Blvd. & Tropicana Ave. area) to downtown in terms of least traffic and driving time. I was thinking about possibly Frank Sinatra Dr. to Industrial, but looking at maps it doesn't look like Frank Sinatra Dr. is accessible from Tropicana Ave. Any suggestions from locals or visitors knowing a good driving route would really be appreciated.

    Thanks!

We take I-15 and get off at D street.
Where are you getting the car from?

You can access Dean Martin from Tropicana and take it to Industrial. And depending on the time of day, LVB works fine. I usually head downtown earlier in the day and it's a pleasant touristy thing to see the sights on the way.

If you are going to be "around" Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana and can't get on Frank Sinatra Drive from Tropicana then you could just go a block up to the Monte Carlo and get on from there...

As fro actually getting there: I would go down Las Vegas Blvd if you want to see the sights and use the freeway if you want to get there faster - Frank Sinatra Drive and Industrial both have quite a few traffic lights along the way, which the freeway doesn't have along with a higher speed limit.

I second the I15 to the D street exit. Always the fastest.

I always take the I15, turn on to the 95, get off onto N Casino Center and then swing into a self park. Is this the way you guys are talking about? Am I doing it all wrong?

Your route might be a little quicker. D street is about one exit north of the 95 exit.

Probably hit or miss. The 95 exit can be a bit snarled up at times. I'll often take the LV Blvd as well if it's not busy. More scenic drive than a shit load of AC plants.

Agree with some of the other comments. We have take LVB to downtown. Like said, depends on day, how quick you want to get there. We don't mind taking a little longer, and seeing the sights.

I take Maryland Parkway a lot. Traffic is usually good, and I can stop at grocery store on the way. I hate highways and avoid them any time I can.
